The disappearance of Brittney Nicole Wood began on the evening of May 30, 2012, when the 19-year-old Mobile, Alabama, mother left to meet her uncle Donald “Donnie” Holland Sr. near the Styx River in Baldwin County and was never seen again. Two days later Holland was found shot in his SUV on an isolated dirt road, and the investigation that followed uncovered a multi-generational child sexual abuse ring inside Wood’s own family. Eleven people were arrested. Wood has never been found, and no one has been charged in her disappearance.1The Charley Project. Brittney Nicole Wood
