You are eligible if you signed up for Prime through one of the “challenged enrollment flows” between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025. Automatic refunds went out in late 2025. If you did not receive one automatically, claim notices started arriving in January 2026. The deadline to file is July 27, 2026, and eligible individuals can receive up to $51. How to File and What to Expect
If you have never filed a class action claim, the process is simple. After a court gives preliminary approval to a settlement, a settlement administrator identifies eligible class members and sends notice by email or postal mail. When individuals cannot be identified directly, notices may run in newspapers or online.30ClassAction.org. Class Action Notices
You have three choices. File a claim (usually an online form) to receive your share of the fund. Do nothing, and in most cases you give up the right to sue individually and receive no payment, though some settlements pay automatically. Opt out to preserve your right to file your own lawsuit, but you become ineligible for the payout.
Settlement money is not split evenly. Attorney fees and administrative costs come off the top, and lead plaintiffs may receive service awards. What remains is distributed to class members, often pro rata, meaning your check depends on how many valid claims come in. In cases with millions of claimants, individual payments can be modest. Where the class is small, individual payouts can be substantial. If a settlement says payments are “estimated,” treat that figure as a projection that can move up or down once the administrator counts the claims.
File through the official settlement website named in your notice or listed above. Beware of look-alike sites that request payment or Social Security numbers beyond what the real administrator needs. And if a deadline is close, file first and gather documentation second: most administrators allow you to supplement a filed claim, but they will not accept a new one after the cutoff.
