A charge labeled “dietcf.com” on your card or bank statement comes from CertifiedFasting, an online meal-plan and nutrition subscription operated by Nutrameg SIA, a Latvian company.1CertifiedFasting. General Terms and Conditions If you don’t recognize it, the charge is almost always an auto-renewal of a subscription that began with a trial or discounted intro offer. You can stop future charges by cancelling through your account or app store, and you can pursue a refund either directly or, if that fails, through your bank.
Why This Charge Is Hitting Your Account
CertifiedFasting subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before your current billing period ends, the plan renews for another term the same length as the last one.2CertifiedFasting. Recurring Payment Policy The renewal price isn’t locked to your sign-up price. The company reserves the right to change rates between cycles, so the amount you see now can be much higher than what you paid initially.1CertifiedFasting. General Terms and Conditions
One quirk catches a lot of people. If a payment fails, CertifiedFasting’s terms allow the company to split the total into smaller installments and retry until the full amount is collected.1CertifiedFasting. If a balance stays unpaid for 65 days, the terms also allow the company to start debt-collection procedures.2CertifiedFasting. Recurring Payment Policy
How to Cancel the Subscription
Where you signed up determines how you cancel.
If You Signed Up on the Website
Log into your CertifiedFasting account and go to Profile, then “Weight loss account.” Under the weight loss plan section, select “CHANGE” and follow the exit flow all the way to “STOP THE SERVICE AND DELETE MY PROFILE NOW PERMANENTLY.” Pressing “EXIT” partway through does not cancel the subscription.3CertifiedFasting. Managing Your Basic Plan Subscription You can also reach the support help desk at help.certifiedfasting.com and ask them to cancel.
If You Signed Up Through Apple or Google
You have to cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app from your phone does not stop the billing.1CertifiedFasting. General Terms and Conditions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, so you keep access until the time you already paid for runs out. Look for a confirmation email; that’s your proof the cancellation went through.3CertifiedFasting. Managing Your Basic Plan Subscription
Can You Get a Refund?
CertifiedFasting’s default position is that subscription fees and digital-content charges are non-refundable.2CertifiedFasting. Recurring Payment Policy Fees paid under introductory or low-price offers below $5 per billing period are described as final, with no refund, credit, or proration.1CertifiedFasting. General Terms and Conditions The terms carve out two narrow exceptions:
- Faulty or misdescribed content. Contact the support help desk within the withdrawal period (14 days for EU residents, 5 days for everyone else) and provide visual proof that the content is faulty or not as described.1CertifiedFasting. General Terms and Conditions
- Money-back guarantee. If a guarantee was offered at checkout, you can claim it by contacting support within 30 days of the initial purchase, but only if you logged in and followed the meal program for at least 10 consecutive days and can provide screenshots proving you consumed all three daily meals during that period.1CertifiedFasting. When a refund is granted, the money goes back to your original payment method and your access to the service is revoked immediately. The company also reserves the right to deduct an administrative fee from any refund.2CertifiedFasting. Recurring Payment Policy
Disputing the Charge With Your Bank or Card Issuer
If CertifiedFasting refuses a refund, or if you genuinely never authorized the subscription, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer or bank.
On a credit card, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the statement date containing the charge to send a written dispute. You don’t have to pay the disputed amount while it’s being investigated, and liability for unauthorized credit card charges is generally capped at $50.4FTC. What To Do if Youre Billed for Things You Never Got or You Get Unordered Products
Debit cards work differently, and the timing matters more. The CFPB advises telling your bank within two business days of discovering an unauthorized debit, which caps your liability at the lesser of $50 or the transaction amount. Wait longer than two business days and your exposure can rise to $500. Wait more than 60 days from the statement date and you can be on the hook for the full amount of any further unauthorized charges. Banks generally have 10 business days to investigate and must issue a temporary credit if the investigation runs longer.5CFPB. Cancel the subscription before or alongside the dispute. Otherwise the charge can keep repeating even after your bank reverses one instance.
Reporting a Deceptive Subscription Charge
If you believe the sign-up or cancellation process was deceptive, you can report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or file a complaint with the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov/complaint.6FTC.
