Three food-related class action settlements are still open to consumer claims in 2026: an $87.5 million beef price-fixing settlement against Tyson and Cargill, a $5 million Grubhub settlement over misrepresented delivery fees in California, and a $5 million Sprouts Farmers Market settlement over receipts that displayed too many card digits. Each has its own claim website, none charges a fee to participate, and most require little or no proof of purchase for a basic payout. Deadlines run from May through August 2026.

A federal judge granted final approval on May 29, 2026, to an $87.5 million settlement resolving claims that Tyson Foods and Cargill conspired to inflate beef prices. Tyson agreed to pay $55 million and Cargill $32.5 million. U.S. District Judge John Tunheim found the settlements “fair, reasonable and adequate.”1Capital Press. How To File a Claim
Each settlement has its own dedicated website. Submit the claim form online, answer the eligibility questions honestly, and indicate whether you have documentation. There is no cost to participate in any of these settlements; attorney fees come out of the settlement fund after court approval, not from individual claimants.
Most consumer food settlements do not require proof of purchase for small claims. The beef settlement asks claimants to estimate the amount of eligible beef they bought. The Grubhub settlement requires no documentation. The Sprouts settlement offers a simplified short-form claim for anyone with a mailed Claim ID. When proof of purchase is available, it typically results in a higher payout.
Participation rates in consumer class actions are often in the single digits, which means claimants who do file tend to receive larger shares of the available funds.
