The Hinge support request form lives at help.hinge.co/hc/en-us/requests/new, and you can also reach the support team by emailing hello@hinge.co.1Hinge. Hinge Contact The form starts with a dropdown asking you to identify your issue, and that single choice routes your request to the team that handles it. Getting the category right matters more than writing a long description.
What Each Category Covers
When you open the form, the dropdown gives you these options:
- Hinge Support Center, for general account problems, technical bugs, login failures, and billing questions.
- Safety and Reporting, for harassment, threats, fraudulent profiles, scams, or any behavior that violates community guidelines.
- Submit an Appeal, used only when you cannot complete the in-app ban appeal, such as a problem with ID verification.
- Privacy Request, for accessing, downloading, or deleting your personal data.
- Reporting Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery / Deepfake Content, for intimate images shared without consent or AI-generated sexual content.
- Report Illegal Content, available only to users in the European Union.
- Update Age Request Form, for correcting a wrong date of birth.
If your issue touches on safety, choose Safety and Reporting even if it also involves a technical problem. Safety reports get priority.2Hinge. Community Guidelines Picking the wrong category can delay you or send the ticket to a team that can’t help.
Filling Out the Form
You can open the form in any browser at help.hinge.co/hc/en-us/requests/new, or reach it through the Help Center from your in-app profile settings.3Hinge. Hinge Support Request Form
Before you start, pull together:
- Your registered email address. Hinge uses it to identify your account and to reply.
- Device and OS details if you’re reporting a bug. Note iPhone or Android and the operating system version, since technical problems are often device-specific.
- Screenshots or a screen recording of the error, receipt, or profile in question. Capture these before you begin the form.
After you select a category, the form shows fields tailored to that issue type. Keep your description short and factual: what happened, when it happened, and what you expected instead. Upload your screenshots in the attachment area. Submit, and you’ll see an on-screen confirmation followed by an email to the address you gave.
Don’t Use the Form for a Ban Appeal
If Hinge has banned your account, the request form is not the right starting point. Hinge processes ban appeals only through its dedicated in-app flow and will not accept appeals submitted by email, social media, or messages to individual employees.4Hinge. How Can I Appeal My Ban
To appeal in the app, open Hinge, tap Appeal on the ban screen, describe why you believe your account did not violate the Terms of Service, and submit. You’ll get a confirmation that the team has your appeal. Contacting support again after submitting can push you further back in the review queue, so don’t follow up repeatedly.4Hinge. How Can I Appeal My Ban
The one time to use the request form for a ban is if you cannot complete ID verification during the in-app appeal. Select Submit an Appeal as your category and write “Issue with ID Verification” in the subject line. A banned account cannot create a new Hinge profile, so the appeal is your only route back.5Hinge. Reporting Someone: App First, Form for Context
You don’t always need the request form to report a user. From any profile page or message thread inside the app, you can report concerning behavior directly.6Hinge. Safe Dating Advice Hinge wants to hear about requests for money, underage users, harassment or threats, offensive messages, fraudulent profiles, and spam.
Use the request form for a safety issue when you need to give more context than the in-app tool allows, or when something happened off-platform during or after a date. Choose Safety and Reporting and include screenshots of any conversations you can.
Billing Problems and the App-Store Boundary
Billing is where people misuse the support form most often. If you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX through the App Store or Google Play, your billing relationship is with Apple or Google, not with Hinge. Deleting the app, or even permanently deleting your Hinge profile, will not stop those charges. You have to cancel in your phone’s subscription settings.
On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, find Hinge, and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android, open Google Play, go to your subscriptions, select Hinge, and cancel there.7Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
For a refund on an iPhone or iPad charge, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose Request a refund, and select the Hinge charge. Apple typically responds within 24 to 48 hours.8Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple For Android, use the Google Play refund page; Google usually decides within one to four days.9Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play
If you subscribed directly on Hinge’s website instead of an app store, deleting your account does cancel the subscription immediately. Any billing dispute in that case goes to Hinge through the request form. And if neither the app store nor Hinge resolves an unauthorized charge, you can dispute it with your credit card issuer. Federal law requires your written notice to reach the creditor within 60 days of the first statement showing the error, sent to the billing-inquiry address on your statement.10Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1026.13 – Billing Error Resolution
Requesting Your Personal Data
The path to your data depends on your account status.11Hinge. How Do I Request a Copy of My Personal Data
- Active account: open the Hinge app, tap the photo icon, go to Settings, and select Download My Data. Choose your country, confirm, enter your email, and submit.
- Banned account: on the ban notification screen, scroll to the Legal section and select Download My Data.
- Deleted account: the in-app tool is gone. Use the support request form, choose Privacy Request, and select “I want to access or download my data.”
Most exports are ready within 30 days. Once the file is available, the download link expires after 48 hours. The export covers your own data only and won’t include personal information about other Hinge members.11Hinge. How Do I Request a Copy of My Personal Data
After You Submit
Hinge replies to the email address you entered on the form. Check your inbox, including spam and promotions folders. If the team needs more information, they respond in the same thread. Answering quickly keeps the ticket active; leaving replies unanswered too long risks having it closed.
There’s no publicly stated response time. Simple requests like data downloads tend to move faster than billing disputes or appeals. If several days pass on a billing issue with no reply, that’s the point to escalate through your app store’s refund process or your credit card issuer rather than wait.
