How to Cancel a Drift Subscription: Steps, Refunds, and UK Rules

To cancel a Drift subscription, log into your account on drift.co, open your subscription management page, and select the cancel option. There’s no notice period and no early termination fee, so the cancellation itself is quick.1Drift. Subscription Policy The friction, when there is any, tends to come after: getting a response from support, or sorting out a charge you didn’t expect.

Cancel From Your Account

Drift’s own instructions are one line: log into your account to cancel or pause your subscription anytime.2Drift. FAQs Once you’re in, look for a subscription or account management section and choose to cancel.

If you can’t find the option in your dashboard, dig up an old order confirmation email from Drift. Those emails contain direct links into your order, and you can manage the subscription from there.1Drift. Subscription Policy

Email Support If the Account Route Fails

When the in-account cancellation doesn’t work, write to support@drift.co. Include your full name, the email address on the account, and a plain statement that you want to cancel. That’s the same address Drift uses for refund requests, so it reaches the right team.3Drift. Refund Policy

Keep the reply. If charges keep coming or Drift goes quiet, that email is what you’ll show your card issuer when you dispute.

Pause or Skip a Delivery Instead

If the real problem is that fresheners are piling up, you don’t have to cancel. Drift lets you pause the subscription or skip individual deliveries from the same account page.2Drift. FAQs A single freshener is designed to last about 30 days, so a pause lets you burn down what you already have without losing your subscription pricing.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your subscription keeps running through the billing period you already paid for. Drift’s terms say that if you terminate, you can use the subscription until the end of the current term, and it won’t renew after that.4Drift. Terms and Conditions If you’ve already been billed for the month, expect that month’s shipment to arrive.

Watch your statement over the next billing cycle. If a charge shows up after you cancelled, reply to support@drift.co with your cancellation confirmation, and dispute it with your card issuer if Drift doesn’t fix it quickly.

Refunds Are Limited

Drift’s terms are direct: fees paid are non-refundable.4Drift. Terms and Conditions Cancelling partway through a billing cycle doesn’t get you a prorated refund for the days you won’t use.

Two exceptions matter:

  • Defective product: if your freshener arrives damaged or becomes defective within 14 days of delivery, Drift will refund your most recent month, provided you file the request within 14 days of the original shipment date.3Drift. Refund Policy
  • General dissatisfaction: Drift says it will compensate you at its discretion with loyalty points, a replacement, or a refund of the purchase price.4Drift. Terms and Conditions

“At their discretion” means Drift picks the remedy. If you specifically want your money back rather than store credit, say so in the email, and be ready to escalate to your card issuer if the answer doesn’t work for you.

If You Never Knowingly Subscribed

Some customers report recurring Drift charges after what they thought was a one-time purchase, or a subscription they don’t remember signing up for. If that’s you, email support@drift.co and ask for immediate cancellation and a full refund, stating clearly that you did not authorize a recurring charge. Save the email.

If Drift doesn’t resolve it, call your card issuer or bank. Most will dispute recurring charges you didn’t authorize and can block future charges from the merchant. You can also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau or with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov, which builds a paper trail if you need one later.

UK Customers Get a 14-Day Refund Window

If you’re in the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to cancel and receive a full refund within 14 days of receiving your first order, under UK distance-selling rules, regardless of what Drift’s general refund policy says.4Drift. Terms and Conditions After that window closes, you can still cancel anytime, but the automatic refund entitlement is gone.

One Note If You Meant the Other Drift

If you’re trying to cancel Drift the conversational marketing platform, that’s a different company. The software originally called Drift was acquired by Salesloft and now runs under the Salesloft brand. Cancellation goes through Salesloft’s Customer Advocate team at help.salesloft.com, and none of the steps above apply.
