To cancel a Ffern subscription, log in at ffern.co/login and close your Ledger space, or email help@ffern.co and ask the support team to close it for you. Timing is the part that costs money if you get it wrong: billing runs on the first working day of March, June, September, and December, and once Ffern takes payment that season’s order is locked. At €109 a bottle, missing the window means paying for a fragrance you didn’t want.
Cancel Through the Online Portal
The portal is the fastest route and the one to use if you’re close to a billing date. Go to ffern.co/login and sign in with the mobile number tied to your Ledger space. Email login is available as an alternative, but phone is the default.
Once you’re in, find the option to close your Ledger space. Ffern’s own FAQ confirms members can leave the Ledger through the online portal at any time.
Watch for two confirmations: a status change in your dashboard and an email. Keep both. If a charge appears after cancellation, that’s your proof.
Cancel by Email
If the portal gives you trouble, or you just want a written record from the outset, email help@ffern.co and say you want to close your Ledger space. Include the email address or phone number on the account so support can find it quickly.
Ffern doesn’t publish a response time for cancellation emails. If you’re near the first working day of a billing month, don’t rely on email. Use the portal, where the change takes effect immediately.
The Billing Dates You’re Racing
Billing happens on the first working day of each of these months:
- March (spring fragrance)
- June (summer fragrance)
- September (autumn fragrance)
- December (winter fragrance)
Once payment is taken, the order is final and Ffern can no longer make changes. A cancellation or skip submitted after billing day applies to the following season, not the current one. The bottle already in production will still ship, and you’ll still be charged.
Ffern asks members to give one season’s notice before cancelling where possible, so the company can plan production. It’s a courtesy, not a hard requirement; you can still leave at any time.
Skip a Season Instead
Before closing your space entirely, consider skipping. Ledger members can skip up to two deliveries a year through the online portal. Skipping stops the charge for that season and you don’t receive the bottle, but your space stays active.
The deadline to skip is the same as the deadline to cancel: before the first working day of the billing month. After that, the order is locked.
This matters because the Ledger runs on a waiting list with a draw system. If you cancel outright and later change your mind, you may not get back in quickly. Skipping lets you pause without losing your place.
If You Miss the Billing Deadline
If you’re charged for a bottle you didn’t want, there’s still a path out. Each seasonal delivery of the 32ml Eau de Parfum includes a sample vial so you can try the fragrance without breaking the seal on the main bottle. That sample is what makes the return system work.
To qualify for a free return, the main bottle box must be unopened with the seal intact. You have 14 days from receiving the delivery to request a return label through the Ledger portal, then another 14 days to drop off the parcel.
Refunds come as store credit, not back to your original payment method. The credit posts within 10 days of Ffern receiving the bottle. If you’re leaving Ffern for good, store credit isn’t much use, which is why beating the billing day is always the better outcome.
Coming Back Later
Rejoining isn’t instant. When Ledger spaces open, names are drawn from the waiting list, and if you aren’t picked in the first round you roll into the next draw. Depending on demand, there can be a wait between joining and receiving a first fragrance. If there’s any real chance you’ll want to return, skipping a season is safer than closing your space.
After your cancellation is confirmed, hold onto the confirmation email until you’ve checked your statement around the first working day of the next billing month. That’s how you know the cancellation stuck.
