How to Cancel a Fora Travel Subscription: Steps, Refunds, and Billing

To cancel a Fora Travel subscription, log into your advisor Portal, open your account settings, and use the manage-subscription option to end the plan. There are no cancellation fees, no penalties, and no long-term contract to break. The one exception is a Fora Plus membership, which can’t be canceled through the Portal and has to go through Fora’s support team.

Canceling a Standard Subscription in the Portal

Sign in to your Fora advisor Portal and go to account settings. Find the option to manage your subscription. It will show your current plan and billing cycle alongside a cancel option.

Click cancel and work through the confirmation prompts. A short feedback survey may appear before the request processes. Finish the prompts rather than closing the window, because skipping them can stall the cancellation. Save or screenshot anything the system shows you at the end. Fora’s own FAQ states that cancellation is available “anytime, from your Portal settings,” so you shouldn’t need to contact anyone to complete it.

Canceling a Fora Plus Membership

Plus members don’t get a self-serve button. You need to contact Fora’s support team directly and ask them to cancel. Fora’s help documentation points Plus members to their contact channels rather than offering an in-Portal option.

Fora’s contact page does not list a dedicated phone line for billing or cancellation. Reach out by email or the online contact form. Include your full name, the email address tied to your advisor account, and a clear statement that you want to cancel. Keep it short. Save a copy of what you send and every response you get back; if there’s ever a dispute about whether you actually asked to cancel, that record is what protects you.

Plus members keep their membership benefits until the subscription year expires, so the cancellation request doesn’t cut off access the day you send it.

Sort Out Active Bookings First

Your subscription bundles the booking technology, training, community, Fora’s IATA number, and errors-and-omissions insurance coverage. Once the subscription ends, all of that goes with it. If you have client trips still in motion, finish them before you cancel. Losing IATA credentials and E&O coverage mid-trip can put both you and your clients in a bad spot.

Fora has no booking minimums or volume quotas, so unfinished work itself carries no penalty. The only money at stake is the subscription fee: $99 per quarter or $299 per year, depending on your plan.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your access stays live through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. Cancel two weeks into a quarterly cycle and you keep the remaining weeks of that quarter. No further charges should hit once the period ends.

Watch for a confirmation email. That email is the single most important document in the process: it proves the date you canceled and that the recurring billing authorization was revoked. Keep it. Then check your statement after the date the next charge would have fallen. If nothing posts, you’re done.

If You’re Charged After Canceling

A charge that arrives after a confirmed cancellation is a billing error, and you have options.

If you paid by credit card, dispute the charge with your card issuer. Federal law gives you the right to contest billing errors on credit card statements, and a charge posted after a documented cancellation qualifies. Call the card company, send them your cancellation confirmation email, and request a chargeback.

If Fora pulled payment directly from your bank account by electronic transfer, federal rules on preauthorized electronic fund transfers let you stop future transfers by notifying your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled payment. You can give notice by phone or in writing, though your bank may ask for written confirmation within 14 days of a verbal request.
