To cancel a Kapwing subscription, open your workspace settings on Kapwing’s website, go to the Billing tab, and click Cancel Subscription. That path only works if Kapwing or Stripe is the one charging you. If you signed up through the App Store or Google Play, Kapwing’s own site can’t cancel the plan, and you have to go through Apple or Google instead. Picking the wrong path is the single most common reason people think they’ve canceled and keep getting billed.
Check Where You’re Being Billed First
Pull up a recent bank or credit card statement before you touch anything. If the charge reads “Kapwing” or “Stripe,” you’ll cancel on Kapwing’s website. Stripe is Kapwing’s payment processor, so both names point to the same account.
A charge from “Apple” or “Apple.com/bill” means you subscribed through the App Store on an iPhone or iPad. A charge from “Google” means you signed up through Google Play on an Android device. Apple and Google control those subscriptions, and Kapwing cannot cancel them for you.
Cancel on the Kapwing Website
Log in to Kapwing and open the workspace that holds the paid plan. Click into the workspace settings and select the Billing tab. Scroll to the bottom and click Cancel Subscription.1Kapwing. A confirmation email should arrive within a few minutes. Check spam if nothing shows, then log back in to verify your plan status now reads as canceled under Billing. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation screen in case a charge turns up later.
If you’re on a team or Business workspace, only the person who controls the workspace’s billing settings can cancel. Team members without billing access have to ask whoever manages the workspace to run the cancellation.
Annual plans cancel the same way as monthly ones, but the money works differently. Kapwing does not issue prorated refunds for the unused months of an annual subscription.2Kapwing. Cancel Through Apple on iPhone or iPad
Open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Kapwing in the list, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription. You may have to scroll down to see the cancel button.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
If you’re inside a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being billed for the first full cycle.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple On a paid subscription already running, canceling any time before the next renewal date stops the next charge.
Cancel Through Google Play on Android
Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions. Find Kapwing, tap it, and tap Cancel subscription.4Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

What You Keep and What You Lose After Canceling
You don’t lose access the moment you cancel. Paid features stay on through the end of your current billing cycle.2Kapwing. Refund Policy Watermark-free exports, higher resolution output, and your current storage all keep working until that date. After it passes, the account drops to the free tier.
On the free plan, every export carries a Kapwing watermark.5Kapwing. Our Watermark Policy Videos are capped at one minute of export at 720p, and single uploads can’t exceed 250 MB.6Kapwing. The project retention rule is the one that catches people out. Free workspaces only show three projects per folder, and projects are subject to deletion after three days.6Kapwing. Can You Get a Refund?
If Kapwing billed you directly, the answer is almost always no. Kapwing’s stated policy is that a free version exists, so upgrading is a deliberate choice and refunds aren’t offered.2Kapwing. Refund Policy That holds for monthly and annual plans alike, regardless of how little you used the service.
Two narrow exceptions exist. If you believe you were billed incorrectly, you have 30 days from the billing date to contact Kapwing support for a possible adjustment or credit. And if a technical issue isn’t resolved within two business days of Kapwing’s first response, the company may apply a prorated account credit, though not a cash refund.2Kapwing. Refund Policy
Think twice before filing a chargeback with your bank. Disputing a Kapwing charge through your card issuer rather than through Kapwing’s own process cancels your subscription immediately and forfeits any remaining paid time on the account.2Kapwing. If you subscribed through the App Store, refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in, choose Request a refund, pick a reason, select the Kapwing charge, and submit. For Google Play subscriptions, request a refund through the Play app or at play.google.com. Google reports that refund decisions typically take one to four days, with most refunds processed within 10 business days. If You Can’t Find the Cancel Button
If the cancel option isn’t where it should be in your workspace settings, or you’ve lost access to the email tied to your Kapwing account, contact Kapwing support before your next renewal date. Include the email address associated with the account.1Kapwing. How to Cancel My Kapwing Paid Plan
Kapwing’s contact page starts you with a chatbot. If the bot can’t help, it opens a support ticket. Paid plan response times run three to five business days, with support available Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST.10Kapwing. Contact Us If your renewal is close, don’t just wait on the ticket. Send a written cancellation request too, so you have a dated record of trying to cancel before the renewal date. That record is what you’ll need if you end up disputing a charge later.
