How to Cancel a Lisa Law Subscription and Get a Refund

To cancel your Lisa Law subscription, go back to the platform you used to sign up — the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Lisa Law website — and cancel there. That is the only way the charges stop. Deleting the app from your phone does nothing to the billing agreement.

First, Find Out Where You Subscribed

Lisa Law subscriptions can be purchased three ways: through the Apple App Store, through the Google Play Store, or directly on the Lisa Law website (where a payment processor called Zotlo handles the billing). Lisa Law cannot cancel or refund subscriptions bought through Apple or Google. Those are governed by the app store’s own terms. Cancel through the wrong channel and the subscription keeps running.

Check your email for the original purchase receipt. Apple sends confirmations from no_reply@email.apple.com. Google sends them from googleplay-noreply@google.com. Anything else almost certainly means you subscribed through the website.

Cancel on an iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed on an Apple device, Apple controls the billing and you cancel in your device settings:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap Lisa Law.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription.

If there is no cancel button, or you see an expiration date in red text, the subscription is already canceled.1Apple. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Access continues until the end of the current billing period, but no further charges will apply.

Cancel on Android

If you subscribed through Google Play:

  • Open the Google Play app.
  • Tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Select Lisa Law.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Google manages the full billing relationship for Play Store purchases. Lisa Law’s own support team cannot cancel or refund these on your behalf.2Google. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Cancel a Website Subscription (Zotlo)

If you signed up on the Lisa Law website, your billing is probably handled by Zotlo. You have two options:

  • Sign in at dashboard.zotlo.com using the same email address you used at purchase. Your active subscriptions should appear with a cancellation option.
  • Email support@zotlo.com with your name and the email address on the account so they can find your subscription.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access through the time you have already paid for.

Deleting the App Does Not Cancel the Subscription

This trips people up constantly. Uninstalling Lisa Law removes the software but leaves the billing agreement with Apple, Google, or Zotlo untouched. Reviews on the Google Play Store include complaints from users who deleted the app, assumed they were done, and found recurring charges months later.3Google Play. Can You Get a Refund?

Lisa Law’s published policy says all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable except where required by applicable law. Once a billing cycle charges your account, that payment is gone even if you cancel the same day. Access continues through the end of the cycle without renewing.

App store purchases are a separate matter. Apple handles refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. Google offers a refund option inside the Play app under your order history. Neither platform guarantees approval, but both will review requests, especially where you were charged after trying to cancel or the service was misrepresented.

If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel

Gather proof first: the cancellation confirmation email, a screenshot of the subscription page showing canceled status, anything timestamped before the charge hit. Documentation is what moves these disputes.

Dispute the Charge With Your Card Issuer

Federal law gives you 60 days from the date you receive the billing statement to dispute the charge in writing with your credit card company. Your letter needs your name, account number, the disputed amount, and the reason you believe the charge is wrong. Send it to the card issuer’s billing inquiries address, not general customer service.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors Once the issuer receives your notice, it must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and finish the investigation within two billing cycles.

Request a Chargeback

If the written dispute feels too slow, or the charge was clearly unauthorized, call the number on the back of your card and request a chargeback. This reverses the transaction while the issuer investigates. Chargebacks work best when you have records showing you canceled before the charge date. Without that proof, the merchant can contest the reversal and the charge may come back.

Save Every Confirmation

Screenshot the cancellation confirmation the moment it appears. Save the email. If you canceled through an app store, capture the subscription page showing the canceled status. These records are your real leverage if a charge shows up later and the company claims you never canceled. Card issuers resolve undocumented disputes in the merchant’s favor more often than you would like.
