How to Cancel a Rho Subscription: Requirements, Fees, and Records

To cancel a Rho account, contact Rho’s support team directly: the platform has no self-service closure button. You can reach specialists by phone at 1 (855) 7-GETRHO, by email at clientservice@rho.co, or through the live chat inside your dashboard.1Rho. Contact Support by Phone, Email, Chat A handful of preparation steps before that call will keep the closure from stalling.

Who Can Submit the Request

Not every user has authority to close the account. Rho reserves the broadest control over account settings for Account Owner and Administrator roles.2Rho. User Permissions Glossary If you hold a more limited role, someone with Owner or Admin access will need to make the request on behalf of the business.

What to Do Before You Contact Support

Rho’s team will check these items before processing a closure, so handling them first saves back-and-forth.

Zero Out Every Balance

Move the funds out of all checking and treasury accounts, including any balance sitting in savings or treasury management. A small interest payment can post after you think the account is empty, so ask Rho how they handle post-closure accruals and whether you should provide an external account for any final credits.

Cancel Recurring and Scheduled Payments

Recurring transfers, scheduled bill payments, and automatic vendor payments should be canceled before closure. You’ll find them under the Scheduled Payments tab in your dashboard.3Rho. How to Cancel Scheduled Recurring Payments A payment that tries to process against a closed account can bounce, which creates late fees with your vendor and complications on Rho’s side.

Settle Credit Lines and Card Disputes

Any balance on a Rho credit line or corporate card credit must be paid in full. Open card disputes need resolution too. An unresolved chargeback keeps the account in limbo because funds could still move in either direction.

Lock Your Cards

You can lock corporate cards from the dashboard using the three-dot menu on any active card.4Rho. Cards Help Center Locking early prevents last-minute charges from employees who haven’t heard the account is closing. Once the account closes, all associated cards deactivate permanently.

Submitting the Closure Request

With balances at zero and obligations settled, contact support through phone, email, or live chat.1Rho. Contact Support by Phone, Email, Chat Have your business entity name, account identification numbers, and reason for closing ready. The representative may ask you to complete a closure form or confirm the request in writing.

Rho does not publish a processing timeline for closures. Expect a review for pending transactions or unsettled items before the account is finalized. If something turns up, the team will contact you. Ask for a confirmation number or written acknowledgment so you have a paper trail.

Fees

Rho’s published pricing lists the subscription fee at $0, and no account closure or early termination fees appear in the pricing materials.5Rho. Pricing Confirm this with your representative when you submit the request. Any outstanding interest or fees on credit products still need to be settled first. Banking services on Rho are provided through Webster Bank, N.A., Member FDIC, so bank-level fees would flow through that relationship.6Rho. Our Partnership with Webster Bank, NA Member FDIC

Download Your Records Before You Lose Access

This is the step people skip. Once the account closes, there’s no guarantee you’ll keep access to the dashboard or historical data, and Rho doesn’t publicly commit to a post-closure access window. Treat your last active day as your last chance to pull records.

To export transaction history, open the Banking tab, select an individual account or “All Accounts,” click Export, choose your date range and attributes, and download the CSV.7Rho. How to Download a CSV of Transactions Repeat for every account and every date range you need. Also download account statements, card statements, and vendor payment records available through the dashboard.8Rho. Accessing Your Account Statements

Tax Forms and Record Retention

If your Rho account earned at least $10 in interest during the tax year, Rho or its banking partner is required to issue a Form 1099-INT reporting that income.9Internal Revenue Service. About Form 1099-INT, Interest Income These forms typically arrive by the end of January following the tax year. If you close mid-year, make sure Rho has a valid mailing address or email on file so the 1099-INT reaches you. Even a few dollars of interest belongs on your business return.

The IRS general retention period is three years from the date you file. That stretches to six years if you underreport gross income by more than 25%, and to seven years if you claim a loss from worthless securities or bad debt. Employment tax records should be kept at least four years after the tax is due or paid.10Internal Revenue Service. How Long Should I Keep Records IRS Publication 583 lays out these timelines in detail.11Internal Revenue Service. Publication 583 (12/2024), Starting a Business and Keeping Records Keeping everything for at least seven years, stored somewhere other than a platform you no longer control, is the safe move.

What Happens After Closure

Once Rho confirms the closure, all cards stop working, scheduled transfers cease, and login access is eventually revoked. Update any system that pulls from or pushes to the account: payroll processors, accounting software integrations, vendor payment portals, and expense management apps. A stale bank connection in accounting software can quietly break reconciliation for weeks before anyone notices.

If you’re switching platforms rather than shutting down entirely, open the new account and redirect incoming payments before closing Rho. ACH payments sent to your old routing and account number after closure will be returned to the sender, which can delay revenue and confuse customers. Give vendors and clients a few weeks’ notice with updated banking details before you finalize the closure.
