How to Cancel a Scentiment Subscription: Portal, Email, or Phone

To cancel a Scentiment subscription, log in to the customer portal at scentiment.com/apps/retextion and select the cancel option on your active subscription, or contact support by email or phone. Do it at least two days before your next scheduled renewal, because once that window closes the charge goes through and Scentiment treats the renewal as final.1Scentiment. Manage Your Scentiment Subscription There’s no minimum contract and no early termination fee, so timing is the only thing you really need to get right.

Cancel Through the Customer Portal

The fastest route is online. Sign in at scentiment.com/apps/retextion with the email tied to your account, open your active subscription, and choose cancel. The same portal lets you change delivery frequency, skip a shipment, or swap fragrances, so confirm you’re actually selecting cancellation and not just editing your plan.2Scentiment. Cancellation only stops future renewals. It doesn’t claw back charges that have already processed or shipments already in transit. Scentiment states that cancellation is “prospective only,” so your current billing cycle plays out and no further charges follow.3Scentiment. Manage Your Scentiment Subscription

Cancel by Email or Phone

If you can’t get into the portal, Scentiment support will cancel for you:

  • Email: support@scentiment.com
  • Phone: (323) 310-1000, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When you email, use the address on your account and say plainly that you want to cancel. A subject line like “Cancel Subscription — [Your Name]” removes ambiguity. Save the sent message and any reply as a timestamped record in case you need to prove the date later.4Scentiment. Contact

The Two-Day Deadline

This is where most people get caught. Scentiment requires cancellation at least two days before the scheduled renewal date and time. Your renewal date shows inside the customer portal. Cancel after that cutoff and the renewal charge processes, and you’re responsible for paying it. Scentiment’s posted policy carves out no exceptions once a subscription has been renewed and processed for fulfillment.1Scentiment. Manage Your Scentiment Subscription

Subscriptions renew automatically on the frequency you set at signup, which defaults to every 30 days. They don’t lapse on their own if you stop using the product or ignore the box when it arrives. Scentiment’s policy states that failing to skip or cancel before the renewal date “constitutes acceptance of that renewal, the corresponding shipment, and the related charge.”1Scentiment. Skip or Space Out Deliveries Instead

If you’re not ready to end the subscription outright, the portal lets you skip the next shipment or stretch the frequency between deliveries. A skip pauses one shipment without closing the account. The same two-day deadline applies: any skip or frequency change has to happen at least two days before the renewal cutoff.5Scentiment. Manage Your Scentiment Subscription

Because there’s no minimum commitment and no penalty for canceling and restarting later, skipping is really just a convenience, not a workaround for a lock-in that doesn’t exist.6Scentiment. Subscription

If a Shipment Already Went Out

If an order ships because it was processed before your cancellation took effect, you can return it for a refund as long as the items arrive unused, unopened, and still sealed. You have 14 days from the delivery date to start the return through Scentiment’s online portal, then another 14 days after that to ship the items back.7Scentiment. Refund Policy

Opened or used items don’t qualify. Return shipping is on you and isn’t refundable. Once Scentiment receives and inspects the return, approved refunds go back to the original payment method within seven business days. If nothing lands in that window, email support@scentiment.com.8Scentiment. Refund Policy

If Charges Keep Appearing After You Cancel

Watch your bank or credit card statements for about a month after canceling. If a new Scentiment charge shows up after cancellation should have taken effect, start with support at support@scentiment.com or (323) 310-1000 and include your cancellation confirmation. Most post-cancellation charges at this stage are timing issues that get sorted out quickly.4Scentiment. Contact

If the company doesn’t fix it, you have two escalation routes. You can ask your bank for a stop payment order, which instructs them to block future charges from that merchant. Banks typically charge a fee for stop payment orders, so ask your institution first.9Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Do I Stop Automatic Payments From My Bank Account? You can also dispute the charge directly with your card issuer or bank as unauthorized. Federal law limits your liability for unauthorized electronic fund transfers and requires your bank to investigate. Report the charge within 60 days of receiving the statement it appears on to preserve your full protections.10Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.6 – Liability of Consumer for Unauthorized Transfers

Those federal protections sit behind you as a backstop. The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires internet subscription sellers to provide simple mechanisms for stopping recurring charges,11Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8403 – Negative Option Marketing on the Internet and the Electronic Fund Transfer Act caps your liability for unauthorized transfers at $50 when you report promptly.12Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693g – Consumer Liability The cleanest path, though, is the one that keeps you out of a dispute in the first place: cancel in the portal before the two-day deadline and keep the confirmation.
