To cancel a SudStop car wash membership, log in to the member portal at sudstop.mywashaccount.com/login and end your subscription there, or stop by any SudStop location and ask a manager to cancel it for you. Submit the request at least a week before the end of the month, because plans auto-renew on the first and a late request means one more charge.1Sud Stop Car Wash. Faqs and Contact Form There is no long-term contract and no early termination fee.
What You Need to Log In
The portal asks for three things: the email address on your account, your vehicle’s license plate number, and the last four digits of the credit card on file.1Sud Stop Car Wash. Faqs and Contact Form If you’re not sure which email you signed up with, search your inbox for “Sud Stop” and check any old confirmation messages before you start.
Canceling Online
The portal is the fastest way out. Once you’re at sudstop.mywashaccount.com/login:1Sud Stop Car Wash. Faqs and Contact Form
- Click “forgot your password?” if you don’t have current login details. Enter your account email, open the reset link, and set a new password.
- Log in and find your active membership on the dashboard.
- Choose cancel. The portal also offers a pause option if you’re only stepping away for a while.
Time it right. A cancellation submitted around the 25th or earlier gives the system enough room to stop the next charge before the first of the month. Miss that window and you’ll be billed for one more cycle.1Sud Stop Car Wash. Faqs and Contact Form
Canceling in Person
If the portal isn’t cooperating, drive to any SudStop location and tell a manager you want to cancel. The same one-week-before-month-end timing applies.1Sud Stop Car Wash. Faqs and Contact Form
Ask for written or emailed confirmation before you leave. A verbal request with no paper trail is the easiest kind of cancellation to lose, and confirmation gives you something to point to if a charge shows up next month.
If Neither Method Works
Email support@sudstopcarwash.com with your name, the email on your account, and a clear statement that you want to cancel. This is the same address SudStop directs members to for account changes and stolen-vehicle deactivations, so support can process cancellations from their end.2Sud Stop Car Wash. Terms of Service
If you still can’t get the charge to stop, federal law lets you shut it down at the bank. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, your bank must honor a stop-payment request on a preauthorized recurring charge if you make it at least three business days before the next scheduled debit.3Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Comment for 1005.10 Preauthorized Transfers – Section: 10(c) Consumer’s Right to Stop Payment You can call the request in, and the bank may ask you to put it in writing within 14 days. This works whether or not SudStop processes your cancellation internally.
What Happens After You Cancel
Your membership stays active through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Plans run month-to-month and renew on the first, so if your last payment covered June, you can keep washing through June 30. SudStop does not issue partial refunds for unused days.2Sud Stop Car Wash. Check your statement after the next renewal date to make sure no new charge posted. If one did, contact SudStop support with your cancellation confirmation, and dispute the charge with your card issuer if the company doesn’t fix it promptly.
If you signed up at a promotional rate, keep in mind that the plan renews at full price once the introductory period ends. Canceling during or after that promotion carries no penalty.2Sud Stop Car Wash. Terms of Service
Selling or Losing the Vehicle
A SudStop membership is tied to one specific vehicle and cannot be transferred to another car or another person. If you sell the vehicle, you have to cancel the membership separately, because the payment method on file will keep getting charged until you do, even if someone else is driving the car.2Sud Stop Car Wash. Terms of Service Remove any SudStop-related items from the car before handing over the keys.
If the vehicle is stolen, deactivate the membership promptly through the website, at any location, or by emailing support@sudstopcarwash.com to prevent unauthorized use.2Sud Stop Car Wash. Terms of Service
Your Rights If Cancellation Is Made Difficult
The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires businesses to make canceling a subscription at least as easy as signing up for it.4Federal Trade Commission. Federal Trade Commission Announces Final Click-to-Cancel Rule Making It Easier for Consumers to End Recurring Subscriptions and Memberships For subscriptions originally purchased in person, the seller must also offer a way to cancel through a website or by phone.5eCFR. 16 CFR 425.6 – Simple Cancellation (Click to Cancel) If SudStop puts you through steps that weren’t part of joining, you can report it to the FTC.
