To cancel a Topgolf membership, open the Topgolf app, go to the Memberships tab, select Manage Memberships, and choose Cancel Membership. You can also cancel a PlayMore plan by phone, or a Platinum plan by emailing your Home Venue. Two catches determine whether you avoid another charge: monthly PlayMore memberships have a three-month minimum, and every cancellation must happen at least five business days before your next payment date.1Topgolf. Cancel Through the Topgolf App
The app is the fastest route and works for every membership tier. Open the Topgolf app, tap the Memberships tab, select Manage Memberships, and then Cancel Membership.3Topgolf. Frequently Asked Questions You get an on-screen confirmation when it goes through. Screenshot that screen. If a charge shows up later that shouldn’t have, that screenshot is your evidence.
Cancel a PlayMore Membership by Phone
If the app isn’t cooperating, PlayMore members can call Topgolf Member Services. The PlayMore Membership Agreement lists 1-866-853-9020.1Topgolf. Topgolf PlayMore Membership Agreement Topgolf’s FAQ page also lists 1-972-914-3055 for membership cancellations.3Topgolf. Frequently Asked Questions If one line is a dead end, try the other. Note the date, time, and the representative’s name.
There is no option to cancel a PlayMore membership by email, by visiting a venue, or through the website contact form. The agreement limits you to the app or a phone call.
Cancel a Platinum or Subscription Membership by Email
Platinum Club and Platinum Elite memberships (called “Subscription Memberships” in Topgolf’s older agreement) can be canceled in the app, or by emailing a cancellation request to your Home Venue’s Memberships Team.2Topgolf. Membership Agreement Your Home Venue is the location where you originally enrolled, and it appears in your enrollment confirmation email or your app profile.
Keep the email short. Include your full name, the email address on your account, and any membership ID or account number you can find in the app. Use a subject line like “Membership Cancellation Request” so it doesn’t get lost.
The Three-Month Minimum on Monthly PlayMore
This is where people get burned. If you signed up for a monthly PlayMore membership, you cannot cancel for any reason during the first three months, and that window starts the day you purchased, not the day of your first visit. Not using the membership doesn’t matter — the agreement explicitly says failure to use the membership doesn’t relieve you of payment responsibility.1Topgolf. Topgolf PlayMore Membership Agreement
Prepaid PlayMore memberships (six-month and annual) work differently. You can cancel one at any time, but the payment is nonrefundable, so canceling just stops the plan from renewing at the end of the term.4Topgolf. Memberships and Passes
Cancel at Least Five Business Days Before Your Next Charge
Both the PlayMore and Subscription agreements require cancellation at least five business days before your next payment date.1Topgolf. Topgolf PlayMore Membership Agreement2Topgolf. Membership Agreement Miss the deadline and the system bills you for the next period before processing the cancellation.
Business days means weekdays. Weekends and holidays don’t count. If your payment date lands on a Monday, you need the cancellation in by the Monday before at the latest. Build in a day or two of cushion. Processing lag is a real thing and it eats into tight windows.
Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, not immediately. You keep full access to membership benefits until that period expires.1Topgolf. Topgolf PlayMore Membership Agreement Cancel on day two of a monthly cycle and you still have the rest of the month to use the free gameplay hour and appetizer.
Refunds and the Last Charge
Topgolf does not refund partially used billing periods. The agreement is blunt: all payments are nonrefundable with no credit for partial use, though the company reserves the right to make case-by-case exceptions at its own discretion.1Topgolf. Topgolf PlayMore Membership Agreement Don’t plan on being the exception.
If you cancel after the five-business-day cutoff, expect one final charge for the next period. That charge is valid under the agreement you signed, and disputing it with your bank as unauthorized is unlikely to go anywhere.
Don’t Just Block the Charge
Calling your bank to block Topgolf or requesting a new card number is not a cancellation. If payment fails, Topgolf will attempt to collect up to three times and suspend your membership until it goes through.2Topgolf. Membership Agreement The debt doesn’t vanish. You still owe it under the agreement, and unpaid balances can be sent to collections.
Your membership also stays active on paper, just suspended, while charges keep accruing. The only clean exit is through the app, phone, or email method that matches your plan.
If Topgolf Keeps Charging You After You Cancel
Start with Member Services. Send them the cancellation confirmation you screenshotted from the app, or the date, time, and representative name from your phone call. Most billing errors resolve at this level.
If that doesn’t work, Topgolf’s terms route most disputes into binding individual arbitration through the American Arbitration Association, and include a class action waiver. One exception matters for a billing dispute: claims filed in small claims court are not subject to arbitration, as long as the case stays there and involves only your individual claim.5Topgolf. Terms and Conditions For a few months of wrongful charges, small claims is usually the practical option when direct contact fails.
You can also file a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov or your state attorney general’s consumer protection division. Those complaints don’t recover your money directly, but they build a regulatory record.
