To cancel a Windscribe subscription, go to the place where you originally paid: your Windscribe account dashboard if you bought directly, or Apple, Google Play, or Amazon if you subscribed through one of those stores. Canceling in the wrong place won’t stop the next charge.
Cancel a Direct Subscription on the Windscribe Website
If you paid Windscribe with a credit card through the site:
- Log in and open the Billing section of your My Account page.
- Click Manage Subscriptions.
- Find the subscription and click Cancel Subscription in the top-right corner.
- Click Cancel Subscription again on the next page.
- Select a reason and confirm with Yes Cancel.

Cancel Through Apple
If you subscribed inside the iOS app, Apple handles the billing. Canceling in the Windscribe app or on the website will not stop the charge. Instead:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Windscribe.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel Through Google Play
Android users who subscribed in the Play Store cancel there, not on windscribe.com:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Windscribe and tap Cancel subscription.

Cancel Through Amazon Appstore
If you subscribed on a Fire TV Stick or another Amazon device, the subscription sits in your Amazon account. On Amazon’s website, open Your Account, select Your Apps under Digital Content and Devices, then open Your Subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal for Windscribe.1Windscribe. Cryptocurrency and Paymentwall Payments
If you paid in cryptocurrency or through Paymentwall, there is nothing to cancel. Those payments don’t auto-renew. The Pro plan simply expires when the paid period ends.4Windscribe. Does My Windscribe Subscription Automatically Renew
What Happens After You Cancel
Canceling switches off auto-renewal. Your paid features stay on until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. Cancel three days into a monthly plan and you keep Pro for the remaining 27 days; cancel two months into an annual plan and you keep it for the remaining ten.5Windscribe. Requesting a Refund
Windscribe’s refund window is narrow. You qualify only if you request a refund within seven days of your initial purchase and you’ve used less than 10 GB of data on the paid plan.6Windscribe. What Is the Refund Policy for Windscribe Plans Miss either threshold and you don’t qualify.
Two further limits catch people out. Subscription renewals are not eligible for refunds at all; only the original payment that started the subscription can be refunded. And you need to describe a specific technical issue in your request. Refunds are granted only when the reported problem can’t be resolved in a reasonable timeframe.7Windscribe. Don’t File a Chargeback
If you’re past the refund window, don’t dispute the charge with your bank before contacting support. Windscribe has said that filing a chargeback without first reaching out leads to a permanent account ban. The company fights these disputes, and the processing costs become a ban on the account involved even when Windscribe wins.8Windscribe.
