To cancel an Adobe subscription, sign in at adobe.com, open the Plans and Payment tab on your account page, click Manage plan next to the subscription you want to end, and select Cancel your plan. You’ll get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of your original purchase. After that, annual plans carry an early termination fee equal to 50% of the payments left on your contract, while month-to-month plans end with no extra charge. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through the store, not Adobe.
Cancel on Adobe’s Website
Log in at adobe.com and go to your account page. Open the Plans and Payment tab, find the subscription you want to end, and click Manage plan. If you have several subscriptions and the right one isn’t showing, look for a View all plans option to expand the list.1Adobe. Cancel Your Adobe Trial or Subscription
Under the plan details, select Cancel your plan. Adobe will walk you through several screens asking why you’re leaving and offering discounts or a plan pause to keep you subscribed. Click past each one. On the final screen, review the cancellation summary. It shows any early termination fee and the date your access ends. Click Confirm cancellation.1Adobe. Adobe then sends a confirmation email to the address on your Adobe ID. Save it. If a charge appears later, support will ask for it.
If You Subscribed Through Apple or Google
Adobe can’t cancel a subscription you bought through an app store. You have to cancel where you signed up, and any refund follows that store’s policy, not Adobe’s.
On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, select Subscriptions, find the Adobe plan, and tap Cancel Subscription.2Adobe. Cancel Adobe Express on iOS You can also manage it from the App Store app or appleid.apple.com.
On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Tap the Adobe plan and select Cancel subscription.
What Cancellation Will Cost You
What you owe depends on your plan type and how long you’ve had it.
Within 14 Days: Full Refund
Every Adobe subscription includes a 14-day window from the original order date. Cancel inside that window and you get a full refund, whatever plan you’re on.3Adobe. Adobe Subscription and Cancellation Terms The clock runs from your initial purchase, not from the start of a new billing cycle.
Annual Plan Billed Monthly
This is where most people get caught. Cancel an annual plan billed monthly after the 14-day window and Adobe charges an early termination fee of 50% of the payments remaining on your contract. The fee hits as a lump sum right away, though your access continues through the end of the current billing month.3Adobe. Adobe Subscription and Cancellation Terms
If you’re near your renewal date, waiting out the contract or switching to a month-to-month plan first can be cheaper than paying the fee.
Month-to-Month Plan
On a true month-to-month plan with no annual commitment, there’s no early termination fee. Your current month’s payment isn’t refunded after day 14, but service runs through the end of that billing period with nothing more to pay.3Adobe. Adobe Subscription and Cancellation Terms
Annual Plan Prepaid in Full
If you paid for a year upfront and cancel after 14 days, the unused portion isn’t refunded. Access continues through the end of the paid period.
What Happens to Your Files, Fonts, and Sites
Canceling doesn’t erase everything at once, but several clocks start.
Your Creative Cloud storage drops to 5 GB. If your stored files exceed that, you have 30 days to download or delete enough to get under the cap. Adobe sends an email warning before deleting anything to bring you back within the limit.4Adobe. Account Access After Plan Cancellation Download what matters before you cancel, or during that 30-day window.
Adobe Fonts you activated through Creative Cloud stop working. Documents and websites that use them revert to fallback fonts. If you need a specific typeface for ongoing work, you’ll need to license it from the foundry, which is listed on each font’s page at fonts.adobe.com.
Adobe Portfolio websites stay live for a 14-day grace period and then go offline. Your work is preserved inside the Portfolio editor, so resubscribing with the same Adobe ID lets you republish without rebuilding.
Lightroom is on a longer clock. Adobe stores your original photos in the cloud for one year after your subscription ends, and you can still open Lightroom during that year to download them. After one year, those cloud-stored photos may be permanently deleted.
When the Cancel Button Isn’t There
Sometimes the account dashboard shows a message like “You will be able to manage this plan shortly” or the cancel option is simply missing. A failed or declined payment is the most common cause. Adobe wants the account in good standing before it lets you self-cancel, which feels backwards when you’re trying to stop paying.
Try a different browser or device first. If the button still doesn’t appear, open Adobe’s contact page and start a chat to request a manual cancellation.5Adobe. Contact Adobe Support Have your Adobe ID and the email on the account ready for identity verification. Chat agents can process the cancellation, and in some cases they’ll waive or reduce an early termination fee if the cause is a billing error or technical problem. Ask for a reference number before you leave the chat, and confirm the cancellation email arrives at your registered address within an hour. A cancellation you can’t prove in writing isn’t one you should rely on.
