To cancel AdultFriendFinder, log into your account, open the billing settings, and switch off auto-renew before your next billing date. The whole thing takes about two minutes if you subscribed through the website. If you signed up through the iPhone or Android app, you have to cancel through Apple or Google Play instead, because that’s where the payment actually runs. And canceling your subscription is not the same as deleting your account: your profile stays visible to other members until you close it separately.
Check Where the Charge Is Coming From
Look at your credit card or bank statement first. Direct subscriptions show up as “FFNHelp.com*FRIENDF” rather than the site’s name.1AdultFriendFinder Help. What Shows on My Bill When I Upgrade That descriptor means you subscribed on the website and need to cancel there. If the charge routes through Apple or Google Play, you subscribed inside a mobile app and the website’s billing page won’t even show the subscription. Canceling in the wrong place is the single most common reason people think they’ve stopped a subscription and then see the next charge hit anyway.
Cancel on the Website
Sign in at AdultFriendFinder.com. Hover over “My Stuff” in the top navigation and click “My Account,” then click “Billing History & Credit Card Info.” You’ll see a toggle next to each active subscription. Flip it to turn auto-renew off.2AdultFriendFinder Help. What Is Auto Renew and How Do I Turn It On/Off
A confirmation screen then asks what you want to do. You can pause auto-renewal for one, two, or three months, or choose “Cancel Auto Renew” to end it for good. Pick your option and click Submit. Nothing changes until you hit Submit, so don’t close the tab before the confirmation loads. Screenshot that confirmation page and save any email receipt; those are what you’ll need if a charge shows up later.
Cancel Through Apple or Google Play
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, and tap Subscriptions. Find AdultFriendFinder, open it, and tap Cancel Subscription.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple If there’s no cancel button and you see a red expiration message instead, the subscription is already canceled.
On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, and go to Subscriptions. Select AdultFriendFinder and tap Cancel. Google advises canceling at least 48 hours before your renewal date so you’re not billed for another cycle.
Delete Your Account Separately
Turning off auto-renew stops future charges. It does not remove your profile, photos, messages, or activity history from the site. Other members can still see you.
To take the profile down, hover over “My Stuff” again, click “My Account,” and under Manage My Account click “Close Account.” For a full deletion rather than a deactivation, click “Please Delete My Account,” enter your password, and hit Submit.4AdultFriendFinder Help. Closing Account Cancel the paid subscription first. Deleting the account doesn’t stop billing on its own, and disputing charges tied to a deleted account is harder than dealing with them while the account is still open.
Refunds and the Three-Business-Day Window
AdultFriendFinder’s terms of use state that you won’t get a refund for unused subscription time after cancellation.5Adult Friend Finder. AdultFriendFinder Terms of Use Agreement The one exception is a three-business-day cancellation policy. If you subscribed within the last three business days (Sundays and holidays don’t count), you can cancel for a full refund by mailing or delivering a signed, dated notice to: Various, Inc., Attn: Customer Service-Cancellations, 800 West El Camino Real, Suite 180, Mountain View, CA 94040. Residents of California and Ohio may also submit the cancellation by email through the site’s contact form.
That window is tight. Sign up on a Wednesday and your deadline is the following Monday at midnight, assuming no holidays fall in between. After that, you’ll pay for the full billing period you committed to whether you use the service or not.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
Contact AdultFriendFinder’s customer support first, at (888) 575-8383. Have your username, the email address on the account, and a screenshot of the charge ready. A support agent can confirm whether the cancellation actually recorded and reverse an erroneous charge faster than a bank dispute will.
If that doesn’t fix it, your next step depends on how you paid. For debit card charges, federal law lets you stop preauthorized recurring transfers by telling your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled payment; the bank may ask for written confirmation within 14 days.6Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1005.10 – Preauthorized Transfers For credit card charges, you can dispute the transaction as a billing error, and your written dispute has to reach the card issuer’s billing inquiries address within 60 days of the statement date showing the charge.7Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 12 CFR 1026.13 – Billing Error Resolution
Documentation is what makes the difference between a fast reversal and a drawn-out dispute. Keep the cancellation confirmation screenshot, the confirmation email, and a note of the date and time. If you believe the company is ignoring cancellation requests on purpose, you can file a complaint with the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov, which tracks reports about unauthorized recurring charges.8Federal Trade Commission.
