How to Cancel Amazing Lash Membership: Form, Proof, and Credits

To cancel an Amazing Lash Studio membership, submit a completed Cancellation Form to your home studio either by email or in person, and make sure it arrives at least 48 hours before your next scheduled payment date. Each studio is independently owned, so the exact email address, any early termination fee, and the handling details can vary. Your membership agreement is the controlling document, so pull up your copy before you start.

Submit the Cancellation Form on Time

The standard membership agreement gives you two cancellation methods: email the completed Cancellation Form to the studio’s designated email address, or deliver it in person at your home studio. The form has to reach the studio at least 48 hours before your next monthly billing date. Cancellation takes effect 48 hours after the studio confirms receipt.

That window is tighter than most people assume. If your billing date is the 15th, the form needs to be in by the 13th at the latest. Miss it and you’re almost certainly paying for another month. Ask for the Cancellation Form by name when you call or visit; the studio keeps it on hand.

All membership changes happen at the studio level, not through corporate. Amazing Lash Studio’s own site states that “membership updates or cancellations are handled at the studio level” and directs members to contact their home studio.

One note on conflicting information online: some older write-ups describe a 30-day notice period. The current membership agreement language specifies 48 hours.

Get Proof the Studio Received It

Most cancellation disputes come down to the same thing. The member says they canceled. The studio says they didn’t. Nobody has documentation. Whichever route you use, build a paper trail.

If you cancel by email, send the completed form from an address you control and keep the sent message. Request a reply confirming receipt. If nothing comes back within a few business days, follow up and save that exchange too. Timestamps hold up well in a billing dispute.

If you cancel in person, ask the studio manager to sign and date a copy of your Cancellation Form and hand it back to you. A verbal “you’re all set” is worthless if charges keep hitting your statement. For extra protection, mail a copy of the completed form by USPS certified mail with return receipt requested. The green card proves the studio received your notice on a specific date.

If the studio offers an online cancellation portal, an electronic confirmation carries the same legal weight as a physical signature under federal law. Screenshot or save the confirmation before you close the browser.

Use Your Credits Before They Expire

Your accrued lash refill credits don’t disappear the day your membership ends. Under the standard agreement, unused credits stay valid for six months after cancellation. After that, they expire with no refund.

Credits are tied to you personally. You cannot transfer them to a friend or family member. You can use them at other participating Amazing Lash Studio locations, though pricing and documentation requirements may differ from your home studio. Credits apply only to refills and full sets at the current service price, and they may not cover the entire cost of a service, which means you could owe a balance at checkout.

If you have banked credits when you cancel, book appointments inside that six-month window. Walking away from prepaid services is money gone.

Check Your Contract for an Early Termination Fee

Some locations sell memberships with an initial commitment period, often six or twelve months. Canceling before that period ends can trigger an early termination fee. The amount varies by franchise, so your specific agreement controls what you owe. Read the cancellation and termination section before you submit the form so you can plan for any final charge.

If you don’t have your original agreement anymore, ask the studio for a copy. They are required to keep it on file.

Watch Your Statements for Two Billing Cycles

Even after you have confirmation, keep an eye on your card or bank account for at least two billing cycles. Recurring billing systems sometimes push through one more charge after cancellation, whether from administrative lag or error. Catching it quickly gives you the strongest options to get the money back.

If you paid by credit card, federal law gives you the right to dispute billing errors in writing within 60 days of the statement date showing the charge. Your card issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles. While the investigation is open, the issuer cannot try to collect the disputed amount or report it as delinquent.

If you paid by debit card, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act limits your liability for unauthorized charges to $50 if you report the problem within 60 days of receiving the statement showing it. Waiting longer increases your exposure, so move fast.

Contact your bank or card issuer and explain that the merchant kept billing after you canceled. Having your cancellation confirmation, email thread, or certified mail receipt in front of you makes the dispute far cleaner.

If the Studio Won’t Process the Cancellation

Most cancellations go through without issue. When one doesn’t, escalate in this order.

  • Contact Amazing Lash Studio corporate through the contact form on their website. Corporate cannot override a franchisee’s membership decisions, but complaints get attention.
  • File a billing dispute with your credit card company or bank using the federal rights above. Attach your cancellation confirmation as evidence.
  • File a complaint with your state attorney general’s consumer protection office, which handles businesses that make cancellation unreasonably difficult. The FTC also accepts complaints, though it generally acts on patterns rather than individual cases.

Some members take a preventive step before submitting the form: switching the payment method on file to a prepaid card with a low balance. If a charge slips through, the exposure is capped while the dispute plays out.
