How to Cancel Book Bolt Subscription: Dashboard, App Store, Refunds

To cancel your Book Bolt subscription, log in at bookbolt.io, open your subscription settings, and use the one-click cancel option. The company advertises this as a single-click process with no emails or extra steps. Two things to know before you click: Book Bolt does not issue refunds, and if you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through them instead.

Cancel From Your Account Dashboard

Sign in to bookbolt.io using the email and password tied to your subscription and go to your subscription settings. Book Bolt’s members portal describes cancellation as one click with no hoops. Once it goes through, your account stays active until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

If the cancel button doesn’t appear, clear your browser cache or try a different browser. Stale session data sometimes keeps dashboard controls from loading correctly.

Cancel Through the App Store or Google Play

If you originally subscribed through Apple or Google rather than the Book Bolt website, the dashboard can’t cancel you. Those platforms run their own billing.

  • On iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find Book Bolt, and cancel there.
  • On Android: open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & Subscriptions.

Not sure where you signed up? Search your email for the original Book Bolt purchase receipt. The sender tells you who’s billing you.

If the Dashboard Won’t Let You Cancel

Book Bolt runs a helpdesk at helpdesk.bookbolt.io with a ticket form. There’s no public cancellation email address, so the ticket is the route. The form asks for your name, email, subject, and message. Set the priority to Medium or High if your renewal date is close. In the message, include the email on your account and state clearly that you want to cancel. Book Bolt says support is available 24/7, but ticket response times vary, so don’t wait until the night before a renewal.

Timing: The Free Trial Is Your Only Refund Window

Every Book Bolt plan starts with a three-day free trial, and that trial is the company’s substitute for a refund policy. The pricing page states plainly, “We do not provide refunds.” Once you’ve been charged, that payment is final, whether you’re a day into a monthly plan or a week into an annual one.

Two practical consequences:

  • If you’re still inside the three-day trial and leaning toward leaving, cancel before day three. You can always resubscribe later.
  • If you’re on an annual plan, you’ve paid for the full year up front. Canceling mid-cycle stops the next renewal but doesn’t claw back what you’ve already paid, so there’s no financial reason to rush; cancel whenever it’s convenient before the renewal date.

Save Your Work Before Access Ends

Your tools keep working until the current billing period runs out. After that, the account goes inactive and you lose access to the research tools, cover designer, and interior creator.

Book Bolt’s terms of service say that when an account is terminated, the company “may permanently delete your account and all the data associated with it.” Separately, if you don’t log in for 12 or more months, Book Bolt may treat the account as inactive and delete everything tied to it. If you’ve built covers or interiors you want to hold on to, download them to your own computer before your paid period ends. Don’t count on them being there if you come back.
