To cancel Canva Pro, go to the platform that actually bills you: the Canva website if you signed up in a browser, the Apple App Store if you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, or Google Play if you subscribed on an Android device. Figure Out Who Bills You
Check a past receipt. If the invoice comes from Canva, you cancel on the Canva website. If the charge shows up under your Apple ID or Google Play account, you cancel through that store instead. Canva has no ability to stop a charge that Apple or Google is processing.1Canva. Cancel a Canva Plan
One boundary worth naming up front: if you’re on a Canva for Teams plan, only the team owner or an administrator can cancel. Regular members don’t have access to billing.1Canva. Cancel a Canva Plan
Cancel on the Canva Website
- Log in to the correct Canva account (double-check if you have more than one).
- Click your profile icon on the homepage.
- Go to Settings, then Billing.
- On your plan, click Cancel plan.
- Follow the prompts and confirm.
Canva will walk you through several retention screens, including an offer to pause for three months instead. Keep clicking through until you see a confirmation that the cancellation is complete.1Canva. Cancel a Canva Plan
Cancel Through Apple (iPhone or iPad)
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find Canva and tap it.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel Through Google Play (Android)
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Go to your subscriptions. You can also reach this through Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account > Payments & subscriptions.
- Select the Canva subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Cancel a Few Days Before Your Renewal Date
Canva’s billing runs on GMT, not your local time. If your renewal date is June 15 where you live, the charge may process on June 14 your time because it’s already June 15 in GMT. Give yourself a couple of days of buffer. You can find your exact renewal date under Settings > Billing on the Canva website, or in the Subscriptions screen of the App Store or Google Play.4Canva. Automatic Plan Renewal
Canceling a Free Trial
Free trials convert to paid subscriptions automatically when they end, and the same GMT timing catches trial users too. You can cancel at any point using the steps for whichever platform you signed up on, and you keep Pro access through the end of the trial.1Canva. Cancel a Canva Plan
If you signed up just to test something, the safest move is to cancel right after you sign up. The trial still runs its full length, and you can’t forget.
Can You Get a Refund?
Canva reviews refund requests individually but says refunds “usually aren’t possible.” Canceling stops future charges. It doesn’t automatically refund the current billing period.5Canva. Refunds for Canva Subscriptions
If a refund is approved, processing times depend on your payment method:
- Credit card: 5 to 10 business days
- PayPal: 3 to 5 business days
- Other methods: up to 20 business days
For Apple or Google Play subscriptions, refund requests go through Apple or Google. Canva can’t issue those refunds.5Canva. Refunds for Canva Subscriptions
What Happens After You Cancel
Your Pro features stay active through the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, the account drops to the free plan automatically.1Canva. Cancel a Canva Plan Your designs and Brand Kit settings stay saved. You don’t lose your work.
What changes: any design that uses premium stock photos, videos, or graphics will show a watermark if you try to download it after Pro access ends.6Canva. Watermarks or Canva Logos Are on My Design You also lose features like background remover, magic resize, unlimited folders, and the full stock library, and your cloud storage drops from 1 TB to 5 GB. If you’ve uploaded a lot of files, pull down what you need before the switch.
Anything you already downloaded during your Pro subscription is yours to keep using. The license attaches when you download, not to your ongoing subscription status.7Canva. Canva Content License Agreement
One Warning for Teams
If you’re canceling a Canva for Teams plan, know the difference between canceling the subscription and deleting the team. Canceling just removes Pro features; the team’s designs stay saved.8Canva.
