To cancel a Forbes magazine subscription, use the channel that matches how you signed up: print subscribers cancel online, by phone, or by email through CDS Fulfillment; digital subscribers cancel from their forbes.com account; and anyone who subscribed through Apple or Google Play must cancel through that app store. Forbes bills automatically on renewal, so the cancellation has to happen before your next billing date if you want to stop the charge.
What to Have Ready Before You Cancel
Forbes will ask for information that identifies your account. Your subscriber account number sits above your name on the magazine’s mailing label.1Magazine Subscriber Services. Forbes Magazine Subscriber Services If you don’t have a recent issue in front of you, the confirmation email from when you first subscribed will have it, along with the email address and billing zip code on file.
Print and digital run on separate support channels, and they don’t cross over:

Canceling a Print Subscription
Forbes offers three ways to end a print subscription: online, by phone, or by email.2Forbes. Print Subscription Terms
Online is fastest. Log into your print subscription account, find the “Cancel My Subscription” section, and follow the prompts. You get an immediate record of the request.
By phone, call 1-800-295-0893 and ask the representative for a confirmation number or a follow-up email confirming the cancellation. By email, write to FRBcustserv@cdsfulfillment.com with your account number, your name, and a clear statement that you want to cancel. Either way, keep the confirmation. It’s the evidence you’ll need if charges continue.
If You’re on a Free Trial
Free trial subscribers can write “cancel” on the first bill and return it, or simply not pay. If you never send payment and never confirm, the trial ends on its own.2Forbes. Print Subscription Terms

Canceling Through Apple or Google Play
If you subscribed through an app store, Forbes cannot cancel for you. Its own terms confirm that subscriptions paid through a third party like Apple or Google Play must be canceled through that third party.2Forbes. Print Subscription Terms Deleting the Forbes app does not end the subscription.
Apple
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Forbes, and tap “Cancel Subscription.” On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, go to Account Settings, scroll to Subscriptions, click Manage, and cancel from there. If you’re on a free or discounted trial through Apple, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid a full-renewal charge.4Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Google Play
Open the Google Play app and go to your subscriptions, or navigate through Settings, Google, Manage your Google Account, Payments & subscriptions, Manage subscriptions. Select the Forbes subscription and tap “Cancel subscription.” You’ll typically keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.5Google Play Help. If Forbes doesn’t appear in either app store’s subscription list, make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID or Google account you used to subscribe. This trips up anyone with more than one account on their phone.
What Refund You Can Expect
Refund rules split three ways depending on what you bought.
- Standalone print subscription: a refund based on the number of unmailed issues left in your term.2Forbes. Print Subscription Terms
- Print bundled with digital: no refund. The terms specifically exclude bundled subscriptions from any refund.2Forbes. Print Subscription Terms
- Digital-only: no refund if you cancel after the renewal date.6Forbes. What Is the Cancellation Policy
For digital subscribers, one day past renewal means paying for a full next term with nothing coming back. Forbes says it will notify you before renewing annual and biennial print subscriptions, so watch your email and postal mail as the renewal date approaches.2Forbes. Print Subscription Terms
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
If you’ve completed the cancellation and Forbes is still billing your card, the FTC advises filing a dispute (a chargeback) with your credit or debit card company.7Federal Trade Commission. How to Stop Subscriptions You Never Ordered
You can open the dispute through your card account online or by calling the number on the back of the card. The FTC recommends following up in writing at the billing-disputes address your card issuer lists. Save your original cancellation request, any confirmation emails, and notes from phone calls with dates and representatives’ names.7Federal Trade Commission. Letting the Card Expire Is Not Canceling
People often assume that a card expiring will kill the subscription. It won’t. Visa and Mastercard run account updater services that automatically hand merchants your new card details when a card is reissued, so Forbes can keep charging a card you thought was dead.
Even if a charge truly fails, that doesn’t end your contract. The subscription stays active under the terms you agreed to, and an unpaid balance can be sent to collections. Cancel through the correct channel and hold onto the written confirmation.
