To cancel a Freepik subscription, go to the platform you used to sign up: Freepik’s website for direct subscribers, or the Apple App Store, Google Play, or PayPal for everyone else. The whole process takes about two minutes once you’re in the right place. Cancel at least a day or two before your next billing date, because renewal charges process automatically on that date and Freepik’s refund rules are strict.
Cancel on the Freepik Website
If you signed up directly at Freepik.com, this is where you cancel. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard, open your account settings, and find the My Subscriptions section. Your active plan, billing cycle, and next payment date are listed there. Click the cancel button next to your subscription.
Freepik will walk you through a few confirmation screens and may offer a discount or ask why you’re leaving. Keep clicking through until you reach the final confirmation. Your dashboard should then show an expiration date rather than a renewal date. Take a screenshot of that status change and keep the cancellation confirmation email. That email is your proof if a charge shows up later.
Cancel Through the Apple App Store
If you subscribed through an iPhone or iPad, Apple handles the billing and Freepik’s website can’t stop those charges. Cancel through Apple instead:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions to see all active recurring charges tied to your Apple ID.
- Select Freepik, then tap Cancel Subscription.
If there’s no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already canceled. For a trial, Apple recommends canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the first full period.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Cancel Through Google Play
Android users who subscribed through Google Play run into the same thing: Freepik’s website won’t stop Google-managed billing, and uninstalling the app does nothing to the subscription. Cancel through Google Play:
- Open Google Play and tap your profile icon, then go to Payments and Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Find Freepik in the list and tap it.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
If you can’t find the subscription, make sure you’re signed into the same Google account you used when you first subscribed. After canceling, you keep premium access until the end of the period you already paid for.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel Through PayPal
Signing up with PayPal creates an automatic payment agreement that can keep pulling funds even if you cancel on Freepik’s website. To be safe, cancel the recurring payment inside PayPal as well:
- Log into PayPal and click the gear icon to open Settings.
- Click Payments, then select Manage Automatic Payments (sometimes labeled “Subscriptions and saved businesses”).
- Find the Freepik agreement and click Cancel.
The status should switch to inactive. That blocks Freepik from initiating any future charges through PayPal, regardless of what your Freepik dashboard shows.3PayPal. What Is an Automatic Payment and How Do I Update or Cancel One
What You Keep After Canceling
Canceling stops auto-renewal. It doesn’t cut off access. You keep premium features, including downloads, until the end of the billing period you already paid for.4Magnific. Subscriptions and Refunds – Section: How to Cancel Your Subscription After that, the account drops to free-tier access.
Files you downloaded while premium was active keep their premium license permanently, so you can use them without attribution after your subscription ends. One catch: download the license PDF for each resource while your subscription is still active. Those license documents become unavailable once your account reverts to free.5Magnific. Refund Policy
Freepik offers a 30-day refund window from the date of payment. To qualify, you must not have downloaded any content or used any AI credits during the billing period. A single download or one AI generation disqualifies you.6Magnific. Subscriptions and Refunds – Section: Refund Policy The request has to come from the email address on the account, and it only covers the current billing period. Previous cycles aren’t eligible.
Annual plans follow the same 30-day rule. If you qualify, you get the full annual payment back, but there are no partial refunds for unused months. Cancel an annual plan after day 30 and your only option is to stop the auto-renewal; you keep access through the end of the year you paid for and aren’t charged again.7Magnific. Subscriptions and Refunds – Section: Refunds for Annual Plans That’s the real risk with annual billing: a decision six weeks in costs you the full year.
If you subscribed through Apple or Google, Freepik can’t process your refund. You have to request it through Apple’s or Google’s refund process, and their policies decide the outcome.
If Something Goes Wrong
If a charge appears after you canceled, the cancel button never shows up, or a refund needs manual review, write to support@freepik.com from your account email. Include a description of the issue and any confirmation or transaction numbers you have.
