To cancel GearUP Booster, use the same platform you signed up on: the PC app’s account settings if you subscribed directly, Google Play if you subscribed on Android, or the Apple App Store if you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad. Do it at least three days before your next billing date. Some payment providers run a pre-authorization within 24 hours of billing, so a last-minute cancellation may not stop the next charge.1GearUP Booster. GearUP PC Membership Auto-renewal FAQ
Cancel Through the PC App or Website
If you subscribed directly through GearUP Booster on desktop, the switch is inside the app. Open GearUP Booster, go to Configure, then Account Settings, and turn off auto-renewal. Your membership stays active through the end of the current billing period, and no further charges are processed after that.
If you don’t see a cancel-renewal button in Account Settings, you are not in an active auto-renewing state and won’t be charged automatically. Auto-renewal is only offered in certain regions, so its absence from your settings is a sign you’re already in the clear.1GearUP Booster. GearUP PC Membership Auto-renewal FAQ
Cancel Through Google Play
If you subscribed on Android, Google handles the billing and GearUP Booster cannot cancel it for you. Open the Google Play app, go to your subscriptions list, tap GearUP Booster, and tap Cancel subscription. You can also get there from your device’s Settings app: tap Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account, then Payments & subscriptions. Access continues until the end of the paid period.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel Through the Apple App Store
On iPhone or iPad, cancellation goes through Apple. Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find GearUP Booster, and tap Cancel Subscription. If there is no Cancel button and you see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already canceled and will simply run out at the end of the period.3Apple Support. Watch the Free Trial Timing
The free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically, and the first payment processes roughly 30 minutes before the trial ends. That’s tight. If you wait until the final hour to decide, you may already be charged.1GearUP Booster. GearUP PC Membership Auto-renewal FAQ
There is also a catch that trips people up: canceling auto-renewal during the trial ends the trial immediately. You do not keep access for the days you had left. If you want to use every free day, set a reminder to cancel shortly before the trial ends rather than the moment you sign up.1GearUP Booster. GearUP PC Membership Auto-renewal FAQ
Uninstalling the App Does Not Cancel Anything
Deleting the app from your phone or removing it from your PC does not stop the charges. The subscription lives with your payment provider, whether that’s Google, Apple, or GearUP’s own billing. Removing the software doesn’t touch it. You have to run the cancellation steps above on the platform that actually takes the money.
If you’ve already uninstalled and aren’t sure whether the subscription is still active, check your Google Play subscriptions, your Apple subscriptions under Settings, or your card and PayPal statements. A recurring charge from GearUP or the app store means the subscription is still alive.
Refunds After You Cancel
Canceling stops future charges. It does not automatically refund what you’ve already paid, and the path back depends on who took the payment.
Direct Subscriptions
GearUP Booster’s policy treats in-app digital content and subscriptions as final and non-refundable except where required by law. There is no pro-rated refund for unused days in the current billing period.
Google Play
Canceling does not file a refund request. Go to play.google.com, click your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history. Find the GearUP Booster charge, click Report a problem, and complete the refund form.4Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play
Apple
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, select “I’d like to” and then “Request a refund,” pick a reason, select the GearUP Booster charge, and submit. Apple reviews these case by case, so approval isn’t guaranteed.5Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple
If Cancellation Is Blocked or Unreasonably Hard
Federal law provides a backstop. The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires sellers to offer a simple mechanism to cancel and to stop charges promptly, and it prohibits making cancellation harder than sign-up. If you signed up online, you must be able to cancel online.6Federal Trade Commission. Federal Trade Commission Announces Final Click-to-Cancel Rule Making It Easier for Consumers to End Recurring Subscriptions and Memberships
If a service pushes you into a phone call, a long retention pitch, or a maze of screens to cancel something you signed up for in two clicks, that practice may violate the FTC Act. You can file a complaint at ftc.gov/complaint. An individual complaint won’t reverse your charge on its own, but these reports feed enforcement cases that have produced consumer refunds.
