How to Cancel iFax Subscription or Free Trial

To cancel your iFax subscription, you have to cancel through the same platform where you originally signed up: the iFax website, the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Microsoft Store. Using the wrong channel is the most common reason people keep getting charged after they think they’ve canceled.

Check Your Billing Statement First

Before you log in anywhere, pull up a recent credit card or bank statement. The billing description tells you which platform processed the charge. If it reads “iFax” or something close to the company name, you subscribed directly on the iFax website. If it reads “Apple,” “Google,” or “Microsoft,” you signed up through that store and have to cancel there. iFax cannot cancel an app store subscription for you.

Not sure which email you used? iFax suggests trying to log in at the web app with each address you might have signed up under. People often subscribe with an old or secondary email and can’t find the account under their primary one.1iFax. iFax FAQs

Cancel on the iFax Website

If you signed up directly on the site, log in and navigate to Settings → Plan & Account → Plan → Edit Plan → Change Plan, then click the “Delete Account” button.2iFax. How Do I Cancel My Subscription? That’s the whole flow. If you don’t see these menu options, you’re either logged into the wrong account or your subscription was actually purchased through an app store.

The path is the same across Basic, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise plans. On team or enterprise accounts, only the account administrator can initiate the cancellation from this dashboard.

Cancel Through the Apple App Store

If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad and see Apple on your statement, Apple controls the subscription. Open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Cancel Through the Microsoft Store

If you subscribed on a Windows device and see Microsoft on your statement, go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account you used. Canceling the Free Trial Before You’re Charged

The seven-day iFax free trial requires a credit card. You aren’t billed during those seven days, but if you don’t cancel before the trial ends, iFax automatically converts the account to the paid tier you selected and charges you for the month.5iFax. To cancel the trial itself, log in and go to Settings → Plan & Account. The process is the same as canceling a paid subscription through the website.5iFax. Fax Trial: Try Free, Cancel Anytime, Sign Up Without Setup If you started the trial through Apple or Google Play, cancel through that platform’s subscription manager instead. Set a calendar reminder for day five or six. Don’t wait until day seven.

If the Cancellation Doesn’t Go Through

If the dashboard or app store won’t let you cancel, email iFax support at support@ifaxapp.com.1iFax. iFax FAQs Include the email on your account, any order or receipt numbers you have, and the platform you used to subscribe. Ask for written confirmation that the subscription has been canceled and save the reply. That email is your proof if a charge shows up later.

Refunds After Cancellation

iFax’s terms state that all payments are final and non-refundable. The company does not prorate unused time when you cancel mid-cycle. Refunds are granted only at iFax’s discretion for compelling reasons such as major service failures, and even then may come as service credit rather than cash. If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, refund requests go through those platforms, not through iFax.

The practical takeaway: cancel as close to the start of a billing cycle as possible. Waiting until the last day doesn’t save you money, and missing the renewal by even a few hours locks you into another full month with little chance of reversal.

What to Handle Before Your Access Ends

Your access to iFax continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. After that date, you lose the ability to send and receive faxes, and the account reverts to a restricted status. Take care of these items before then:

  • Download your faxes. Sent and received faxes stored in your account may become inaccessible after cancellation. Export anything you need before access expires.
  • Port your fax number if you want to keep it. iFax supports number porting, but the process takes several business days and requires coordination with your new provider. Start early, because losing the number after cancellation may be permanent.6iFax. How to Port Over an Existing Number
  • Watch your next statement. Check your credit card or bank statement for one full billing cycle after the cancellation date. If a charge appears, use the confirmation email to dispute it.

If you paid through PayPal, log into your PayPal account and check your automatic or pre-approved payments. Revoking iFax’s billing authorization there adds a second layer of protection, since PayPal processes the payment independently of the iFax dashboard.
