To cancel an iScanner subscription, go to whichever platform billed you in the first place — Apple’s App Store, Google Play, or iScanner’s own website — and turn off the subscription there. Deleting the app does nothing. The fastest way to figure out where you subscribed is to check a recent charge on your bank or card statement.
A line reading “APPLE.COM/BILL” means you subscribed through the App Store. A line referencing Google (something like “GOOGLE*iScanner”) means Google Play. If neither matches, you most likely signed up directly on iscanner.com. Match that to the steps below.
Deleting the App Does Not Stop the Charges
This is the single biggest mistake people make. Uninstalling iScanner only removes the software from your phone. The subscription itself lives with Apple, Google, or iScanner’s billing system, and it keeps renewing on schedule. If you deleted the app weeks ago and assumed billing stopped, pull up your statements. You may still be paying.
Canceling on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings and tap your name at the top. Tap Subscriptions, find iScanner in the list, and tap it. Then tap Cancel Subscription. If there is no Cancel button and you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already canceled.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Once confirmed, the listing switches from a renewal date to an expiration date. You keep premium features until that expiration date passes.
Canceling on Android
Open the Google Play Store, go to your subscriptions page, select iScanner, and tap Cancel Subscription. Follow the prompts to confirm.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
The other route: Settings, then Google, then Manage Your Google Account, then Payments & Subscriptions, then Manage Subscriptions. Both paths land in the same place. Google stops future charges after you confirm, and your premium access continues through the end of the current billing period.
Canceling a Website Subscription
If you subscribed directly at iscanner.com, log into your account there, click your account name in the top-right corner, and open Settings from the dropdown.3iScanner. iScanner Account Deletion Look for the billing or subscription controls and turn off auto-renewal.
One warning: account deletion and subscription cancellation are not the same thing on iScanner’s site. Deleting your account wipes all your associated data. If you only want to stop future charges while keeping your scanned documents, use the subscription controls, not the account deletion button.
Free Trials Convert Silently
iScanner’s free trials roll into paid subscriptions automatically. There’s no confirmation screen when the trial ends — you just get charged. If you only signed up to test the app, cancel before the trial window closes. Both Apple and Google let you cancel right after signing up without losing the rest of the trial, so there’s no reason to wait.
On iPhone, the Subscriptions screen shows the exact trial expiration date. On Android, the Google Play subscriptions page shows the same. Set a calendar reminder a day or two ahead if you’re undecided. Most unwanted iScanner charges come from forgotten trials, not from active subscriptions people meant to cancel.
Getting a Refund
If a charge went through after you thought you’d canceled, or a trial converted before you noticed, you may be able to recover it. The process depends on who took the money.
Apple
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose “Request a refund.” Pick the reason, select the iScanner charge, and submit. Apple reviews each request individually and approval is not guaranteed. Eligibility can vary by country.4Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple
Google Play
Use the Google Play app or play.google.com, find the iScanner transaction in your purchase history, and request a refund. For unauthorized charges, Google gives you 120 days from the transaction date to report the issue.5Google Play Help. Learn About Google Play Refund Policies
Website Purchases
iScanner’s own refund windows are tighter than the app stores. For monthly or longer subscriptions, you have 14 days from the purchase or most recent renewal. For weekly subscriptions, the window drops to 7 days. Requests outside those windows are usually denied unless your country’s consumer protection laws say otherwise.6iScanner. Refund Policy
iScanner can also deny a refund if you’ve used more than 200 MB of cloud storage during the subscription period, which they treat as significant use of premium features.6iScanner. Refund Policy
What You Keep After Canceling
Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not cut off access right away. Premium features like OCR text recognition, advanced PDF editing, and cloud storage stay available until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, your account drops to the free tier.
Documents you scanned while on premium don’t disappear. You can still view them and generally export them to your device. But batch scanning, cross-device cloud sync, and some editing tools become unavailable on the free tier. If you stored important files in iScanner’s cloud, download local copies before your premium access expires so you’re not dependent on the app to open your own documents.
