How to Cancel Kling AI Subscription and Get a Refund

To cancel a Kling AI subscription, use the same channel you signed up through: the Kling AI website (which routes billing through Stripe), Apple’s App Store, or Google Play. Canceling in the wrong place does nothing, and on the website the process is not a single click — you have to complete an email confirmation step before the cancellation takes effect.

Canceling on the Kling AI Website

Log in at klingai.com. In the lower-left corner of the screen, click your current subscription status. That opens the subscription management page. Click Manage next to your active plan, then Cancel Subscription.

At that point you get redirected to a Stripe billing page. Stripe asks you to re-enter the email address on your account as a security check. Once you submit it, Kling AI emails you a verification link. Open the email, click the link, and confirm the cancellation.

This last step is the one people miss. Until you click the link in that email, your subscription is still active and will renew. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Save the confirmation. A screenshot or the confirmation email itself is worth keeping in case a charge shows up later. Under federal law, an electronic record cannot be denied legal effect just because it is digital, so that email is real evidence in a billing dispute.1Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 7001 – General Rule of Validity

Canceling Through Apple

If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad through the App Store, Apple handles the billing. Canceling inside the Kling AI app or on its website will not stop the charges.

Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Kling AI in the list, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to see the button. If you see an expiration message in red text instead of a cancel button, the subscription is already canceled.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

Deleting the Kling AI app does not cancel anything. The charges keep coming until you go through the Subscriptions menu.

Canceling Through Google Play

Android subscribers who paid through the Play Store cancel there. Open the Google Play app, go to your subscriptions, select Kling AI, and tap Cancel Subscription.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Same rule as with Apple: uninstalling the app does nothing. The subscription lives in Google’s system.

Time It Before Your Renewal Date

Kling AI’s terms warn that if you cancel within one day of your billing cycle ending, the processor may have already charged you for the next cycle. If that charge goes through, your paid access extends through that next period, but you will not get a refund for it.4Kling AI. Kling AI Terms of Paid Service

Your renewal date is visible in your account dashboard. Give yourself at least a few days of margin. Once the cancellation is confirmed, your paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period, so there is no reason to wait until the last moment.

What Happens to Your Credits and Access

Kling AI runs on credits. Monthly subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over, even while you are still a paying subscriber. When your subscription ends, any unused monthly credits are gone.

Top-up credit packs purchased separately follow different rules and remain valid for two years from the date of purchase.

Once the paid period ends, your account drops to the free tier: 66 credits per day that reset daily and do not accumulate, videos capped at about five seconds, 720p resolution, and a visible watermark. You lose commercial licensing, watermark-free exports, 1080p output, and priority queue speed. Your account and previously generated content stay accessible through the dashboard.

Refunds Are Limited

Kling AI’s terms state that once a paid service is activated, the fee is non-refundable. Subscription fees are not treated as prepayments or deposits, and refunds or cash-equivalent exchanges are not supported.4Kling AI. Kling AI Terms of Paid Service Canceling stops future charges. It does not get your money back for the current cycle, and there is no pro-rated refund.

If you paid through Apple or Google, that platform’s refund policy applies instead of Kling AI’s terms.

  • Apple: submit a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple evaluates refund requests case by case and does not publish a fixed refund window. Responses typically take 24 to 48 hours.5Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple
  • Google Play: for purchases in the last 48 hours, request a refund through Google Play directly. After 48 hours, Google refers you back to the app developer. Unauthorized charges can be reported to Google within 120 days.6Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play

If You Get Charged After Canceling

Contact Kling AI support first and attach your cancellation confirmation. If that does not resolve it, dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer.

For debit card or bank account charges, Regulation E gives you 60 days from the statement date that first shows the unauthorized charge to report it to your bank. Miss that window and you may be liable for charges that occur after the deadline.7eCFR. 12 CFR 1005.11 – Procedures for Resolving Errors

For credit card charges, you have 60 days from the statement date to send a written billing error notice to your issuer. Credit card disputes tend to be more consumer-friendly than debit disputes because the money has not already left your account.

Your Federal Cancellation Rights

Federal law requires any business selling online through automatic renewal to provide a simple way to stop recurring charges.8Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8403 – Negative Option Marketing on the Internet The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule, effective in 2025, adds that canceling must be at least as easy as signing up.
