How to Cancel Marvel Unlimited: Web, Apple, Google, and Refunds

To cancel Marvel Unlimited, go back to wherever you originally signed up: Marvel.com if you subscribed on the web, the App Store if you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, or Google Play if you subscribed on an Android device. Marvel cannot cancel a subscription that Apple or Google is billing you for, and that mismatch is the single most common reason people think they’ve canceled and then see another charge.

Find Out Where You’re Being Billed

Check your bank or credit card statement for the name on the recurring charge before you do anything else. A charge labeled “Marvel” or “Disney” means you subscribed through Marvel.com. “Apple” or “Apple.com/bill” means the App Store. “Google” or “GOOGLE*Marvel” means Google Play.

If the statement isn’t clear, log into Marvel.com, open Account Settings, and look under Marvel Unlimited. A “Manage Subscription” or “Cancel” option there means Marvel is billing you directly. If that option is missing, a third party handles your billing and you’ll need to go to them.

Cancel on Marvel.com

If you signed up on the website, the steps are:

  • Log into your account at Marvel.com and open Account Settings.
  • Under Marvel Unlimited, select Manage Subscription, or go directly to marvel.com/my_account/subscription.
  • Click Cancel Your Marvel Unlimited Subscription.
  • Pick a cancellation reason, then click Cancel Subscription on the confirmation popup.

You keep access through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Cancel on March 2 with a March 15 renewal date, and you can read until March 15.

You can also cancel by phone at 1-844-362-7835 or through help.marvel.com, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central Time.

Cancel Through Apple

If you subscribed in the App Store, cancel through Apple, not Marvel. On an iPhone or iPad:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap Marvel Unlimited.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription.

If there’s no Cancel button and you see a red expiration date, the subscription is already canceled.

You can also manage Apple subscriptions in a browser at account.apple.com, which works from any device, including Android or Windows. That’s the route to use if you no longer have the iPhone you originally subscribed on.

Cancel Through Google Play

If you subscribed on an Android device:

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Tap your profile icon, then Payments and Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  • Tap Marvel Unlimited.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.

From a browser, the same controls live at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Google Play also offers a pause option on some subscriptions, letting you stop billing for one week up to three months instead of canceling. Whether Marvel Unlimited supports it depends on the app’s settings, but it’s worth a look if you expect to come back soon.

Canceling During the Free Trial

Marvel Unlimited periodically runs a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. To avoid being charged, you have to cancel before the trial ends. One day late and the first full subscription term gets billed. There’s no grace period once the trial converts.

The safest move is to cancel right after signing up for the trial. Your access still runs through the full seven days; canceling just tells the system not to auto-renew.

Refunds

Marvel’s policy is that payments are nonrefundable and there are no credits for partially used billing periods. Cancel an annual subscription three months in and you don’t get nine months back — you keep access through the end of the term, but no money comes back. Gift memberships are also nonrefundable.

The subscriber agreement does say Marvel may offer refunds or other consideration at its sole discretion, so customer support can help in unusual cases but isn’t required to. For subscriptions billed through Apple or Google, those platforms’ refund policies apply instead, and they sometimes grant refunds that Marvel wouldn’t.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your access to the Marvel Unlimited library continues until the current billing period ends. The subscription doesn’t cut off the moment you cancel; it simply stops renewing. The exact end date is on the My Account page on Marvel.com.

Watch for a confirmation email. If one doesn’t arrive within a few hours, log back in to make sure the cancellation processed. For Apple and Google cancellations, the subscription entry in your device settings should show an expiration date instead of a renewal date.

You can resubscribe any time through Marvel.com or the app store you used before. Your account and reading history stay in place. You’ll pay the current rate at the time you resubscribe, which may not match what you were paying before.

If You Can’t Log In

A forgotten password doesn’t stop the charges. Marvel accounts use the MyDisney login system, so recent Disney+ or Hulu credentials may work on Marvel.com. Use the Forgot Password link on the login page for a standard reset.

If you don’t remember which email address you used, call Marvel support at 1-844-362-7835, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central. They can locate the account and process the cancellation.

None of this applies if your billing is through Apple or Google. In that case your Marvel credentials don’t matter; you cancel through your Apple ID or Google account, which are tied to the device rather than to Marvel.
