How to Cancel MGM+ on Roku: Device, Website, or Free Trial

To cancel MGM+ on Roku, open my.roku.com/subscriptions or highlight the MGM+ tile on your Roku home screen, then turn off auto-renew. That only works if Roku actually bills the subscription. If Amazon, Apple, or MGM+ itself charges you, the cancel option lives on that platform, not on Roku.

Check Who Is Billing You First

Look at your bank or credit card statement. A subscription Roku handles will appear as “Roku,” “Roku for MGM+,” or “The Roku Channel.” Anything else means a different platform is charging you, and the Roku steps below won’t apply.1Roku Support. If There’s a Charge You Don’t Recognize on Your Roku Account

You can also confirm directly. Sign in at my.roku.com/subscriptions with the email and password on your Roku account. If MGM+ shows up under Active subscriptions, Roku bills it. If it isn’t listed, the subscription is somewhere else.2Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

Cancel From Your Roku Device

Fastest if you’re already at the TV:

  • Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  • Navigate to the MGM+ tile with the arrow buttons. Don’t open the app.
  • Press the Star button (asterisk) to open the options menu.
  • Select Manage subscription to see your plan and renewal date.
  • Select Turn off auto-renew.

Once auto-renew is off, Roku stops charging you at the end of the current billing period. You keep MGM+ access until that period ends.2Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

Cancel From the Roku Website

Same result, from any browser:

  • Go to my.roku.com/subscriptions and sign in.
  • Find MGM+ under Active subscriptions and select it.
  • Choose Manage subscription, then Turn off auto-renew.

Your subscription runs to the end of the cycle you already paid for, and no further charges post to your payment method.2Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

What Happens After You Cancel

Cancellation doesn’t cut off access on the spot. You keep MGM+ through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. When that period ends, the library locks and the subscription flips to inactive.3Roku. Roku Content and Subscription Refund Policy

Roku doesn’t give partial refunds for the unused part of a cycle, so canceling on day one and canceling on the last day cost you the same. If you know you’re done, though, canceling early removes the risk of forgetting before the next renewal.3Roku. Roku Content and Subscription Refund Policy

Canceling During a Free Trial

If you’re on a free trial, you need to turn off auto-renew before the trial period ends to avoid the first month’s charge. The steps are the same. You keep access through the remaining trial days after you cancel.2Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

If the trial already rolled into a paid month, canceling now stops future charges, but Roku’s refund policy generally doesn’t cover that first post-trial payment.

If Roku Isn’t the Biller

MGM+ is sold through several platforms, and each one runs its own billing. Subscriptions bought through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or the MGM+ website won’t appear in your Roku account, and Roku can’t cancel them. In those cases the Roku device is only playing the video; the payment relationship is with the other platform, and that’s where you cancel.

The bank statement is the quickest tell. A charge labeled “Amazon” or “Apple” points you to those accounts. A charge labeled “Roku” or “Roku for MGM+” means the steps above are the right ones.1Roku Support. If There’s a Charge You Don’t Recognize on Your Roku Account
