To cancel Norton Utilities Ultimate, sign in at my.norton.com, open My Subscriptions, and turn off auto-renewal on the Norton Utilities Ultimate listing. That stops future charges. If you also want a refund for the current term, you have to request it separately: 60 days from the charge for annual plans, 14 days for monthly.

- Find Norton Utilities Ultimate and click Cancel Subscription Renewal or Manage Renewal.
- Next to Plan Renewal, click Unsubscribe.

- Wait for the confirmation message. Allow up to 24 hours for the change to appear in your account.1Norton Support. Norton Cancellation and Refund Policy
What Happens to Your Access
Canceling auto-renewal doesn’t shut the software off. Your subscription keeps working through the end of the term you already paid for, and it simply won’t renew when that term ends.1Norton Support. Norton Cancellation and Refund Policy Pay in March, cancel in June, and you still have the software through the following March. After the term expires you stop receiving updates and new features, but your files and system settings stay as they are.
Getting a Refund
Turning off auto-renewal stops future charges only. For the current term, you need to ask for a refund within the window that applies to your plan.
Refund Windows
Annual subscriptions are covered by Norton’s 60-day money-back guarantee. You can get a full refund within 60 days of the purchase date, and the same 60-day window applies to each annual renewal charge, not just the first year.2Norton. Norton Annual and Monthly Subscription Refunds
Monthly subscriptions have a 14-day window from the charge. If your monthly plan followed a free trial, the first month is refundable within 14 days, but later monthly renewal fees are not eligible.1Norton Support. Norton Cancellation and Refund Policy
How to Request One
Refunds go through Norton Member Services. Start from the contact page at support.norton.com with your order number and the date of the charge in hand. If you bought at a retail store, you’ll also need the 25-character subscription key from the packaging and the original receipt showing the date and price.2Norton. Norton Annual and Monthly Subscription Refunds Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method. Norton doesn’t publish a timeline, so how fast the credit lands depends on your bank or card issuer.
If You Bought Through an App Store or Partner
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store can’t be canceled from Norton’s website. Cancel in the store where you bought it. Norton also can’t process refunds for those purchases; any refund request has to go to Apple, Google, or Microsoft.2Norton. Norton Annual and Monthly Subscription Refunds
The same applies when a third party handles the billing, such as an internet service provider or a retailer running the recurring charge. Norton’s policy notes that your eligibility can differ in those cases, so check the terms of whichever company actually charges your card.1Norton Support. Norton Cancellation and Refund Policy
Free Trials That Convert to Paid
Norton free trials usually require a payment method upfront and convert to a paid subscription when the trial ends. To avoid the charge, cancel before the trial expires. Uninstalling the app from your device does not cancel the trial or the subscription.3Norton Support. Cancel the Norton Plan In-App Purchase From Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store
If the charge has already gone through, refund eligibility follows the plan type: 60 days for an annual plan started after a trial, 14 days for the first monthly charge after a trial, with later monthly renewals not refundable.1Norton Support. Norton Cancellation and Refund Policy
Uninstalling the Software Is a Separate Step
Canceling and uninstalling are two different actions, and doing one does not do the other. People uninstall the app, assume they’ve canceled, and then get charged at renewal. Cancel first, then uninstall.
On Windows, open Settings, go to Apps (or Apps and Features on older versions), find Norton Utilities Ultimate, select it, and click Uninstall. Restart afterward to clear any background processes.
If the standard uninstall fails or leaves pieces behind, use the Norton 360 Remover. Download it from Norton’s support site, run it, click Remove and then Uninstall, and restart when prompted.4Norton Support.
