How to Cancel OpenArt AI Subscription: Website, App, and PayPal

To cancel an OpenArt AI subscription, log in at openart.ai, open Account Settings, go to Subscriptions, switch to the Free plan, and confirm. It takes about two minutes. If you originally subscribed through the iOS app or Google Play, you have to cancel through that store instead, because Apple and Google handle the billing. Either way, your paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period, and OpenArt does not issue prorated refunds for the unused days.1OpenArt. OpenArt Terms of Service

Canceling on the OpenArt Website

Sign in at openart.ai, go to Account Settings, then Subscriptions. Select Change Plan, choose the Free tier, and continue through the prompts. OpenArt may ask you to confirm or fill out a short survey. Keep clicking until you see a confirmation message on screen.2OpenArt AI. Help Center

Timing matters. The subscription auto-renews unless you cancel before the current period ends, and OpenArt’s terms state that all purchases are non-refundable with no prorated credits for partial months. If a renewal charge posts before you finish canceling, you are locked in for another cycle.1OpenArt. OpenArt Terms of Service

If the cancel button will not work or you cannot access your account, email support@openart.ai. OpenArt’s help center lists this as an alternative way to cancel and the same address handles billing questions.2OpenArt AI. Help Center

Canceling Through Apple or Google Play

If you subscribed inside the iOS app, the website will not show a cancel option. Cancel through Apple:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Find OpenArt, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription.

Apple requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. If the Cancel button is missing and you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already canceled.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

For Google Play, open the Play app, go to your subscriptions, select OpenArt, tap Cancel Subscription, and follow the prompts.4Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Canceling a PayPal Recurring Payment

If you paid through PayPal, you can also stop the recurring charge from PayPal’s side. Log in, go to Settings, then Payments, then Subscriptions and Saved Businesses (sometimes labeled Automatic Payments). Find OpenArt and cancel the authorization.5PayPal. What You Lose When the Subscription Ends

Unused credits do not carry over. When the period ends, any credit balance disappears and does not convert to the free tier’s allocation. If you have a large balance, spend it before the last day.2OpenArt AI. Help Center

Image storage tightens too. Paid subscribers keep unpublished creations stored indefinitely; non-subscribers get seven days of storage for unpublished work. Download any private images you want to keep before your subscription lapses.2OpenArt AI. Help Center

Refunds

OpenArt does not refund forgotten months or unused subscriptions. The one documented exception is an accidental annual plan: if you meant to sign up monthly, OpenArt will process a partial refund for the unused portion of the year minus a 10% processing fee.2OpenArt AI. Help Center

Outside that case, you can email support@openart.ai to request a refund in exceptional circumstances, but the help center states that approval is not guaranteed and a processing fee applies if granted.2OpenArt AI. Help Center

If Charges Keep Appearing After You Cancel

The FTC’s Click-to-Cancel rule, which took effect in 2025, requires subscription sellers to make cancellation as simple as signup and to stop charges once you cancel. A platform that keeps billing after cancellation is worth reporting to the FTC.6Federal Trade Commission. You also have a bank-side backstop. Under Regulation E, you can tell your bank to stop a preauthorized recurring charge by contacting them at least three business days before the next scheduled transfer. Request a stop-payment order by phone or in person. The bank may ask you to follow up in writing within 14 days; if you skip that step, the oral order expires.7eCFR. 12 CFR 1005.10 – Preauthorized Transfers

For credit card charges, file a chargeback with your card issuer. Keep your cancellation confirmation email and a screenshot of the account showing canceled status. Those two pieces of evidence usually resolve a dispute over post-cancellation charges.

Confirming the Cancellation Went Through

Check three things. Look for an on-screen confirmation right after you finish. Watch your email for a cancellation receipt from OpenArt or the app store. Then revisit your account settings and confirm the subscription shows as canceled or set to expire at the end of the current period rather than renew.

Paid features run through the last day you already paid for. After that, the account drops to the free tier and any remaining paid credits are gone.1OpenArt.
