To cancel Optavia Premier+, log into your account on the Optavia website and select the cancel option in the Premier+ section, or call client support at 1-888-678-2842. Your cancellation must be submitted by 6:00 PM Eastern Time the day before your next scheduled processing date. Miss that cutoff and the next autoship order will process and ship as planned, and you’ll be responsible for the charge.
The 6:00 PM Eastern Deadline Is the Whole Game
Premier+ orders process in four-week increments from your last autoship date. Check your account dashboard for the exact date of your next cycle. Every cancellation or modification, whether submitted online or by phone, must be in by 6:00 PM ET the day before that processing date. Anything after the cutoff applies to the following cycle, not the current one.
If you’re cutting it close, use the online portal. There’s no hold time. Calling at 5:45 PM ET and waiting in a queue is a gamble you don’t want to take.
Canceling Through Your Online Account
Before you start, have your login credentials, your Premier+ ID number (visible on your account dashboard or in past order confirmation emails), and the date of your next scheduled shipment.
Log in, go to the Premier+ section under your account settings, and select the option to cancel your Premier+ enrollment. The site walks you through confirmation prompts before finalizing the request. Once complete, your account status updates and no further autoship orders will be scheduled. The portal is available 24/7, so you can cancel at midnight on a Sunday if that’s when you decide to pull the plug.
Canceling by Phone, Text, or Chat
If you’d rather speak with someone, call Optavia client support at 1-888-678-2842. You can also reach the team by text at 206-828-1605 or through the web chat feature in the Optavia app. Have your Premier+ ID and account details ready so the representative can pull your subscription quickly.
Refusing Delivery Does Not Cancel Your Subscription
One detail the terms make explicit: simply refusing a delivery or shipping a box back does not end your enrollment. Autoship orders keep processing and charging your payment method until you formally cancel through your account or with a support representative. Even if you’ve already sent back a shipment, complete the formal cancellation step.
Modifying Instead of Canceling
If you aren’t sure you want to leave for good, Optavia lets you push your next ship date, adjust the contents of the order, or reduce the quantity without ending your Premier+ membership. These changes follow the same 6:00 PM ET deadline.
Modifying is worth considering because canceling costs you one perk permanently. New Premier+ members who spend over $350 on their first autoship order get a one-time 20% discount. If you cancel and later reactivate, that introductory discount is gone for good. The ongoing 15% discount on orders over $350 and 10% on orders between $250 and $349.99 still apply when you return, but the first-order 20% doesn’t come back. If you might rejoin within a few months, delaying a shipment can be cheaper than a full cancellation and restart.
Returning a Shipment if You Missed the Deadline
If your cancellation didn’t beat the processing cutoff, you can return consumable products (fuelings, snacks, and infusers) within 30 days of receiving the order for a refund, minus shipping. Non-consumable items like books, water bottles, and other accessories aren’t eligible.
Start the return through your account to generate a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. In the contiguous 48 states, Optavia offers a prepaid return label or QR code during that process; the cost of the label is deducted from your refund automatically. If you ship on your own through UPS or FedEx, keep the tracking number as proof of delivery. The return must be postmarked within 30 days of when you received the order.
Standard shipping runs $9.95 for the contiguous United States and $14.95 for Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, and U.S. territories. That original shipping fee is not refunded. For discounted orders, your refund reflects what you actually paid after the discount, not the full retail price.
After You Cancel
You should receive a confirmation email once the cancellation processes. Save it. If any charge shows up later, that email is your evidence the subscription was terminated.
Canceling ends access to Premier+ benefits, including the tiered discounts on autoship orders and any discounted shipping tied to the membership. Your connection to an assigned Optavia coach also winds down since coaching is bundled with active product purchases. Access to community features and certain digital tools in the app may become restricted.
Reactivation later is straightforward. Set up a new autoship through checkout or contact client support. The 15% and 10% ongoing discounts will apply again, but the first-order 20% won’t.
If You’re Charged After Canceling
Watch your bank or credit card statements for at least two billing cycles after canceling. If a charge appears after your cancellation confirmation, contact Optavia client support first with the confirmation email in hand. Most subscription billing disputes get resolved at that stage.
If the company doesn’t resolve it, you can dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. Federal law caps your liability for unauthorized charges at $50, and most card issuers waive even that. File promptly, since card networks set their own deadlines for chargebacks.
The FTC’s “click-to-cancel” rule, finalized in late 2024, requires subscription sellers to make cancellation as easy as sign-up and to stop charges immediately once you cancel. If you run into obstacles that seem designed to keep you subscribed rather than help you leave, that federal rule is the backdrop for your consumer rights.
