To cancel a Padlet subscription, go to the same place you signed up: padlet.com if you paid Padlet directly with a card, the Apple App Store if you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, or Google Play if you subscribed on Android. Canceling in the wrong place does nothing, so the first task is figuring out who is actually billing you.
Find Out Where You’re Being Billed
Log into Padlet on a computer and open your Billing page. If you see your credit card on file and a downgrade option, Padlet is billing you directly.1Padlet. Cancel on the Padlet Website
If Padlet charges you directly, open your dashboard in a web browser and go to the Billing page. Next to the Free plan (sometimes labeled “Neon”), click Downgrade. That reverts your account from Platinum or Team to the free tier.3Padlet. Upgrade or Downgrade Your Padlet Account
After you confirm, your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you won’t be charged again. If the Downgrade button is greyed out, you’re past the refund window on an annual plan, but the cancellation still takes effect at the end of the term.4Padlet. Padlet’s Refund Policy
Cancel Through the Apple App Store
If you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, Apple controls the billing and Padlet cannot cancel it for you. Open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, find Padlet in the list, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel Through Google Play
For Android subscriptions, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Select Padlet, tap Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts. If Padlet doesn’t appear in your subscriptions list, you’re probably signed into a different Google account than the one you used to subscribe. Switch accounts and check again.
Refunds
Monthly Platinum and Team subscribers get a prorated refund for the remaining time when they downgrade. Annual subscribers get a prorated refund only if they downgrade within 90 days of purchase. After 90 days, you can still cancel but won’t get money back; paid features simply run until the term ends.4Padlet. Padlet’s Refund Policy
If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, Padlet cannot refund you directly. Request the refund through Apple’s or Google’s own process, where their policies apply.4Padlet. What Happens to Your Padlets After You Cancel
The free plan allows three active padlets.7Padlet. Pricing If you have more than three when your paid plan ends, Padlet gives you seven days to reduce the count. After that, extra padlets are frozen. Frozen padlets aren’t deleted; they go read-only, so you and anyone with the link can view them, but you can’t edit them or create new ones until you trash some or resubscribe.8Padlet. Export anything you want to keep before you cancel. Open a padlet, click Share in the action bar, scroll to Export, and choose PNG, PDF, CSV, or Excel. A “Download all files” option bundles every attachment into a zip.9Padlet. Export a Padlet
Note that downgrading is not the same as deleting your account. Deleting wipes everything after 14 days and also cancels any paid subscription on that email. If you only want to stop paying, downgrade; don’t delete.10Padlet. Delete a Padlet Account
Padlet for Schools and Team Plans
School and organizational plans have no self-service cancel button. An administrator has to contact Padlet through padlet.com/contact-us to request removal of the organization’s subscription.11Padlet Help. Cancel My Padlet for Schools Subscription
Once a Padlet for Schools subscription expires, access to the account closes. Before that happens, admins should export padlets or ask through the contact form to have them transferred to individual free accounts.
