To cancel Paramount Plus, go to whichever service is actually billing you and cancel there. If you signed up on paramountplus.com, cancel in your Paramount+ account settings. If you signed up through Apple, Amazon, Roku, Google Play, Walmart+, Verizon, or T-Mobile, you have to cancel through that platform instead. Canceling on the wrong one does nothing to the charges.
Check Who’s Actually Billing You
Pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the descriptor next to the charge. That tells you which platform to use.
- “Paramount Plus” or “Paramount+” means you signed up directly.
- “Apple.com/Bill” means Apple is handling the subscription.
- “AMZN MKTP” or a similar Amazon label means it’s a Prime Video Channels add-on.
- Roku and Google Play use their own descriptors.
- A Walmart, Verizon, or T-Mobile charge means it’s bundled with that account.
Match the descriptor to the right platform before going further. If Amazon is billing you, canceling on the Paramount+ website won’t stop a thing.
Cancel Directly on Paramount+
If you subscribed on the Paramount+ website or app, do this:
- Go to paramountplus.com and click your profile name in the top right.
- Click “Account.”
- Scroll down and click “Cancel Subscription.”
- Click through any retention offers or exit-survey prompts and confirm.
You’re not done until you see a confirmation screen. Paramount+ may surface discount offers or reason-for-leaving questions along the way, and skipping past those without finishing leaves the subscription active.1Paramount+ Help Center. How Do I Cancel My Subscription

If You’re Still in a Free Trial
Cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. Your access continues until the trial period expires, then it stops. Paramount+’s terms state that cancellation during a free trial takes effect at the end of the trial period.9Paramount+. Terms of Use There’s no grace period after the trial ends. Miss the cutoff by a day and you’ll be billed for the first full cycle.
Set a calendar reminder a day or two before the trial ends. A screenshot of the account page showing your trial end date is useful if a charge later shows up in dispute.
What Happens After You Cancel
You keep access for the rest of the billing period you already paid for. Cancel on June 5 with a cycle ending June 20, and you can stream until June 20. After that, access ends and no further charges post.1Paramount+ Help Center. How Do I Cancel My Subscription
Paramount+ does not issue prorated refunds for unused time. Their terms say plainly that you will not be refunded for fees already paid, while acknowledging you may have separate legal rights to a refund in certain circumstances.9Paramount+. Terms of Use Save the confirmation email. If a charge shows up later, that email is your proof.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
First, log back in and verify the cancellation went through. Many “I canceled and they still charged me” cases turn out to be unfinished cancellations or cancellations attempted on the wrong platform.
If the cancellation did go through, contact Paramount+ support with your confirmation email in hand. For charges billed through Apple, Amazon, Roku, or Google Play, you can also dispute through that platform’s support channel.
If that doesn’t resolve it, you can dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the date the bill with the error was sent to submit a written dispute. The issuer must acknowledge it within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days.10Federal Trade Commission. A federal rule finalized by the FTC in late 2024 requires subscription sellers to make canceling at least as easy as signing up. If you signed up online, you have to be able to cancel online by the same type of method, without being funneled into phone-only cancellation or wearing retention mazes.11Legal Information Institute. 16 CFR Part 425 – Negative Option Rule12Federal Trade Commission.
