How to Cancel Paramount Plus From Roku: Device, Web, and App

To cancel Paramount Plus on Roku, open my.roku.com/subscriptions or press the star button on your Roku remote while highlighting the Paramount Plus channel, then select Manage Subscription and Turn Off Auto-Renew. The whole thing takes under a minute, with one catch: Roku can only cancel subscriptions that Roku bills. If you signed up somewhere else, the option won’t appear.

First, Confirm Roku Is Billing You

Check your bank or credit card statement. A subscription billed through Roku shows up as “Roku for CBS Interactive.”1Roku Support. If There’s a Charge You Don’t Recognize on Your Roku Account If the charge reads only “Paramount+,” you subscribed directly through Paramount and need to cancel at paramountplus.com. Subscriptions started through an Apple ID, Google Play, or a cable provider work the same way: cancel them where you signed up.

You can also verify from the Roku side. Sign in at my.roku.com/subscriptions and look under active subscriptions. If Paramount Plus isn’t listed there, Roku isn’t managing the billing, and no amount of clicking through Roku menus will cancel it.

Cancel From Your Roku Device

From the Roku home screen, use the remote to scroll to the Paramount Plus channel tile and highlight it. Don’t open the app. Press the star button (the asterisk key) on your remote, and a side menu appears.2Roku Support. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

Select Manage Subscription. You’ll see your renewal date and billing amount. Select Turn Off Auto-Renew and confirm. A message appears on screen, and Roku emails a confirmation to the address on your account.2Roku Support. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

If a charge ever hits after cancellation, a timestamped confirmation is what your bank will want to see.

Cancel From the Roku Mobile App

Open the Roku app on your phone, tap the account or settings icon, and go to your subscriptions. Find Paramount Plus and select Turn Off Auto-Renew. The flow mirrors the website.

What Happens After You Cancel

Access doesn’t end right away. You keep watching Paramount Plus through the end of the current billing period.2Roku Support. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku If you paid on the 10th and cancel on the 18th, you’re covered until the next scheduled renewal.

Roku does not issue partial refunds. Subscriptions managed through Roku are prepaid and non-refundable.4Roku Support. Roku Content and Subscription Refund Policy There’s no financial reason to cancel early in the cycle rather than waiting it out, so use the time you’ve already paid for.

After the date your next charge would have hit, check your statement. If a new charge appears anyway, the confirmation email is your evidence for disputing it with your bank.

If the Cancel Option Isn’t There

Nine times out of ten, the subscription wasn’t started through Roku. Paramountplus.com, an Apple or Google subscription, and cable-provider bundles all live outside Roku’s system. Cancel through the platform that charges you.

If you’re sure Roku bills you but the on-device menu doesn’t show the option, try the website at my.roku.com/subscriptions. The on-device menu sometimes lags behind the web interface. If the subscription isn’t on the website either, contact Roku support with your account email and the statement line showing “Roku for CBS Interactive.”1Roku Support. Resubscribing Later

Canceling doesn’t remove the Paramount Plus channel from your Roku device or wipe your viewing history. You can resubscribe through the same channel whenever you want. Roku treats it as a new subscription with a new billing date, and it will auto-renew until you cancel it again.2Roku Support. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku
