To cancel a Pimsleur subscription, go to the same place that bills you: the Pimsleur website (or its phone line), Apple, or Google Play. Deleting the app does not stop the charges. Check Your Statement First
Look at your bank or credit card statement before doing anything else. The transaction description tells you which platform to use. “Pimsleur” or “Simon & Schuster” means you subscribed directly through the Pimsleur website. “Apple Bill” or “apple.com/bill” means Apple is processing the payment. “Google Play” means Google is.
Canceling in the wrong place won’t stop the charges. If Apple bills you, canceling on Pimsleur.com does nothing, and Pimsleur’s own support confirms that subscribers who signed up through Apple or Google have to cancel through that platform instead.1Pimsleur. Cancel on Pimsleur.com or by Phone
If you signed up directly with Pimsleur, log in at store.pimsleur.com/account, open your subscription settings, and follow the prompts to cancel. You’ll need the email and password from when you signed up.

Cancel Through Apple
On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name at the top. Tap Subscriptions, find the Pimsleur subscription, and tap Cancel Subscription.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
You can do the same thing on a Mac by opening the App Store, clicking your name, going to Account Settings, and scrolling to Subscriptions. Or manage subscriptions on the web at account.apple.com. Cancel Through Google Play
On your Android device, open Settings, tap Google, tap your name, then Manage your Google Account, then Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions. If You’re Still in the Free Trial
Pimsleur offers a seven-day free trial on some tiers. Cancel before day seven ends or your payment method is automatically charged for the first month. There’s no grace period after the trial expires. The trial follows the same rule as a paid subscription: cancel through whichever platform you used to start it.
What Happens After You Cancel
You keep access to Pimsleur for the rest of the billing period you’ve already paid for. Cancel two weeks into a monthly cycle and you still get the remaining two weeks.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
You should get a confirmation email from whichever platform handled the cancellation. Save it. If a charge shows up later, that email is the fastest way to dispute it. Log back into your account and check that it shows an expiration date instead of a renewal date, and look at your bank statement one billing cycle later to confirm the charges stopped.
Getting a Refund
If you subscribed directly on Pimsleur.com, the company offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription period. It applies only to purchases made on Pimsleur.com or through the call center. Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google are not eligible, and neither are gift subscriptions or plans that started with a free trial of seven days or more.4Pimsleur. To request a refund, call (800) 831-5497 or email Pimsleur within 30 calendar days of your purchase. Pimsleur will send you a sworn declaration form confirming you’re the original purchaser and haven’t copied or kept any content. You have seven days to sign and return it. Once Pimsleur receives the form, expect four to six weeks for the refund to appear on your original payment method. The guarantee covers the initial subscription period only, not renewals.4Pimsleur. If Apple or Google billed you, request the refund from that platform. Each has its own process and approval criteria, separate from Pimsleur’s guarantee.
