How to Cancel PlushCare: Access, Refunds, and Records

To cancel your PlushCare membership, email info@plushcare.com from the address tied to your account and ask for your subscription to be terminated.1PlushCare. Contact PlushCare PlushCare’s terms confirm you can cancel at any time through that address, and your access stays live until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.2Transcarent. Sending the Cancellation Request

Include your full name and the email address on the account so support can find your membership without back-and-forth. You don’t have to explain why you’re leaving, though you may be asked for brief feedback.

PlushCare also has a membership management area inside its patient portal, reachable through the website or mobile app. Log in, open account or membership settings, and follow the confirmation prompts. If the option doesn’t load or the confirmation screen never appears, use email instead of assuming the cancellation went through.

Whichever route you take, save the confirmation email PlushCare sends afterward. That receipt is your proof if a charge shows up later.

What Happens to Your Access and Your Money

Cancellation doesn’t cut you off immediately. Your membership stays active through the end of the current billing period, and no renewal will run after that.2Transcarent. Transcarent Terms of Service You can still book appointments and message providers during that window. Once the period ends, those features go away.

The membership fee itself is not refundable by default. PlushCare’s terms say refunds or pro-rata refunds are provided “as required by law” or as stated in your account, so the standard outcome is that you’ve paid for the current cycle and cancellation only stops the next one.2Transcarent. Transcarent Terms of Service If PlushCare terminates your account for reasons other than a terms violation on your end, you’re entitled to a pro-rata refund of fees already paid. Individual appointment fees are handled under a separate refund policy from the membership.3PlushCare. PlushCare Refund Policy

One easy-to-miss situation: if you get PlushCare through an employer and that coverage ends, you can either start paying the membership fee yourself or terminate the service.2Transcarent. Handle Prescriptions Before Your Access Ends

This is the step people underestimate. If a PlushCare provider is managing an ongoing prescription, losing membership access means losing the built-in path to refills. PlushCare doctors can prescribe and renew during appointments, but once your access lapses, there’s no way to book a visit for a renewal through the platform.

Before you cancel, schedule an appointment to discuss any active prescriptions. Ask about enough refills to bridge the gap to a new provider, or request that your prescription records be transferred. This matters most for chronic-condition medications that require regular monitoring.

Getting Your Medical Records

Cancellation doesn’t affect your right to your medical records. Federal law requires covered healthcare providers to let you inspect, review, and obtain copies of your health and billing records, and PlushCare qualifies as a covered provider whether your account is active or not.4Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy. You can request lab results, visit notes, and other records generated during your time on the platform. Providers are generally permitted to charge reasonable copying and delivery fees, which vary by state. If you know you’ll want your records, download or request them before you cancel, while portal access is still simple.

Disputing a Charge After You’ve Cancelled

If an unexpected charge appears after cancellation, contact PlushCare’s billing department at 855-559-2285 within 30 days of the charge showing on your statement.5PlushCare. Medical Billing Policy You can also write to billing@plushcare.com. Have your cancellation confirmation email ready, since it establishes when your membership ended.

The 30-day window matters. Acting later doesn’t automatically forfeit your recourse, but sooner is stronger. If billing doesn’t resolve the issue, you can also dispute the charge through your bank or credit card company.
