To cancel Read AI, log in at app.read.ai, open your Plan & Billing page, click “Cancel plan,” and confirm the downgrade to the free tier. That works only if you subscribed directly through the website. If you signed up through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through that store instead, because the app store, not Read AI, controls the billing.
Canceling on the Read AI Website
Sign in using the same method you used to create the account. If you originally used Google or Microsoft single sign-on, pick that same option on the login screen rather than trying to set a password. If you’re not sure which email is on the account, search your inbox for messages from read.ai.
Once you’re in, go to app.read.ai/analytics/settings/billing. Click “Cancel plan,” then “Downgrade to Free” to confirm. That’s the whole process. You won’t be billed again, and your paid features stay active through the end of the current billing cycle, monthly or annual.1Read Help Center. How Do I Cancel My Billing Plan
Canceling Through Apple or Google Play
If your subscription runs through a mobile app store, the button inside Read AI’s own site won’t stop your charges. You have to cancel through the store that’s billing you.
iPhone
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Read AI, tap it, and tap “Cancel Subscription.” The cancel button sometimes sits below the fold, so scroll if you don’t see it. If there’s an expiration date shown in red instead, the subscription is already canceled.2Apple. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Android
Open the Google Play Store, go to your subscriptions, select Read AI, and tap “Cancel subscription.” Follow the prompts. You can also reach the same screen through Settings, then Google, your name, Manage your Google Account, and Payments & subscriptions.3Google Play Help. If Your Account Is on a Workspace Plan
Workspace members generally can’t cancel the plan themselves. If your Read AI account belongs to a team or organization, contact the Workspace owner or admin and ask them to cancel the plan or remove your seat. If you don’t know who the owner is, check your dashboard settings or contact Read AI support at support.read.ai.1Read Help Center. How Do I Cancel My Billing Plan
What Happens After You Cancel
Canceling doesn’t delete your account. It downgrades you to the free plan, and you keep your paid features until the current billing period ends.1Read Help Center. How Do I Cancel My Billing Plan After that, the free tier caps you at 5 meeting transcripts, 5 meeting reports, and 5 live notes and metrics sessions per month, with a 1-hour maximum meeting length for recording.4Read AI. Plans and Pricing
Your past reports don’t stay forever on the free plan the way they do on paid tiers. Read AI keeps them for at least one year from the meeting date, and specifically recommends downloading any reports that are close to or older than a year before you downgrade.5Read Help Center. Refunds and Timing
Read AI does not give refunds or prorated credits when you cancel mid-cycle. The only stated exception is a technical issue that kept you from using the service as advertised, which you’d raise through the help center.6Read Help Center. Can I Get a Refund
Because of that, timing matters. Subscriptions renew automatically, so cancel before the renewal date rather than after. Annual plans are where this stings most: one day late means paying for another full year with no partial refund.
Deleting Your Account
Canceling and deleting are separate. Canceling leaves your account on the free tier with your data. Deleting wipes the account and all associated data from Read AI’s servers, and it can’t be undone.
To delete the account, sign in using your original login method, open Account Settings, click the “Advanced” tab in the left-hand menu, click the red “Delete my account” button, and confirm with “Yes, delete my account.” You’ll be logged out and the account will be gone. Any meeting reports you own are deleted with it, unless they belong to a Workspace. If you own a Workspace, you have to transfer ownership or delete the Workspace first.7Read Help Center.
