How to Cancel Screambox Subscription on Any Platform

To cancel a Screambox subscription, go to whichever service actually charges you each month and turn off the renewal there. If you signed up on Screambox’s website, you cancel in your Screambox account. If you subscribed through Amazon, Apple, Google Play, Roku, VIZIO, or PayPal, Screambox cannot stop the charge for you — the third party controls the billing and the cancel button lives on their side.

First, Find Out Who’s Billing You

Before you touch any cancel button, figure out which company is actually taking the money. Check the signup confirmation email, or look at the merchant name on a recent bank or credit card statement. If the charge reads “Screambox” or a generic payment processor, you subscribed directly on the website. If it reads “Amazon,” “Apple,” “Google,” “Roku,” or “VIZIO,” that platform is your billing provider and the only place a cancellation will take effect.

The monthly plan is $6.99 and the annual plan is $59.99, and both renew automatically until you stop them.1Screambox. Pure Horror | Screambox

Canceling Directly on Screambox.com

Sign in at Screambox.com and open your account settings. Find the subscription or billing section, which lists your current plan and the next renewal date, and select the option to cancel. The site may show a retention prompt or two before the final confirmation screen, so keep going until you see clear wording that the subscription has been deactivated. Stopping partway leaves it active.1Screambox. Pure Horror | Screambox

Save a screenshot of the confirmation page or the confirmation email. That’s your proof if a charge shows up later.

Canceling Through Amazon

If you added Screambox as a Prime Video channel, open “Your Memberships and Subscriptions” in your Amazon account.2Amazon. Canceling Through Apple

Canceling Through Roku

From the Roku home screen, highlight the Screambox app and press the Star button on the remote. Select “Manage subscription,” then “Turn off auto-renew.”5Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku Roku will ask whether to remove the app now or keep it until the current period ends. Canceling Through VIZIO

Sign in at VIZIO.com and go to “Subscriptions & Purchases.” Click “Update” next to Screambox and follow the cancellation steps. In the VIZIO mobile app, open Account Details, then Subscriptions, select the plan, and tap “Cancel Subscription.”6VIZIO. Managing Your Account Subscriptions and Purchases

Free Trial: The 24-Hour Rule

Screambox offers a 7-day free trial on some plans, and it rolls into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.1Screambox. Pure Horror | Screambox Sign up Monday, cancel by the following Sunday. Trying to squeeze it in on the final day is how most people get charged.

If you started the trial through Amazon, Apple, Google Play, Roku, or VIZIO, the same window applies but the cancel steps are the ones above, on whichever platform signed you up.

What You Keep After Canceling

Access doesn’t shut off the moment you cancel. You keep the Screambox library through the end of the billing period you already paid for. Cancel five days into a monthly cycle and you still have about three weeks left. Partial refunds aren’t issued for unused time.

A confirmation email should arrive after you cancel. Keep it. If a charge appears on your statement after the cancellation date, that email is your evidence when you dispute it with your bank or the billing platform.

Deleting the Account vs. Just Canceling

Canceling stops the charges but leaves your account and personal data in place. If you want the account gone too, Screambox allows full account deletion through the account management page, but only after any active subscription has been canceled.8Screambox. Manage Account Deletion is permanent.
