How to Cancel Shahid Subscription: Website, Apple, Google, and Carrier

To cancel a Shahid subscription, you have to cancel it wherever your payment is actually being processed: on the Shahid website if you paid Shahid directly by card, or through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or your mobile carrier if one of them handles the billing. Cancelling in the wrong place is the single most common reason people keep getting charged after they think they’ve stopped.

Check Who Is Charging You

Start with your bank or credit card statement. Look at whether the charge comes from Shahid or MBC directly, from Apple, Google, or Amazon, or from your mobile carrier. Each of those requires a different cancellation path, and steps taken inside the Shahid app do nothing if someone else is processing the payment.

If the statement isn’t clear, log into Shahid, tap the profile icon, and open “My Account Settings,” then “Subscription Management.” That page lists your plan and payment method. A note like “App Store” or “Google Play” tells you where to cancel.

Cancel on the Shahid Website

Use this method only if you subscribed directly through Shahid with a credit or debit card.

  • Go to shahid.mbc.net and log in.
  • Tap the profile icon and select “My Account Settings.”
  • Open “Subscription Management.”
  • Choose the cancel option and confirm.

A confirmation appears on screen and Shahid sends a confirmation email. If neither arrives, check your spam folder and then contact support to verify the cancellation went through.

Cancel Through Apple

If you signed up through the App Store or with Apple Pay, Shahid cannot cancel it for you. Go through Apple:

  • Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
  • Select Subscriptions.
  • Tap MBC Shahid.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Access continues until the end of your current billing cycle. The listing will show an expiration date rather than a renewal date.

Cancel Through Google Play

Android users who subscribed through Google Play have to cancel there, not inside the Shahid app.

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
  • Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  • Select MBC Shahid.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

If Shahid doesn’t show up in your Google Play subscriptions list, your billing is being handled somewhere else. Go back to your bank statement to find where.

Cancel Through Amazon Prime Video

If you added Shahid as a Prime Video channel, cancellation happens on Amazon’s side.

  • Go to Manage Your Subscriptions at amazon.com/myac.
  • Select “Your subscriptions” from the top menu.
  • Find the Shahid add-on and select Unsubscribe.
  • Confirm.

Amazon may offer a self-service refund. If you accept it, cancellation is immediate and access ends right away. If you decline, or if no refund is offered, access continues until the end of the current billing period and the confirmation screen shows that end date.

Cancel a Carrier-Billed Subscription

In some regions, Shahid can be billed through your mobile carrier. If that’s your situation, neither Shahid nor Apple, Google, or Amazon can stop the charge. Check your phone bill to confirm a Shahid line item, then call your carrier’s customer service to request cancellation.

Deleting the App Does Not Cancel Your Subscription

Removing the Shahid app from your phone has no effect on billing. The payment relationship lives with whoever processes your money, so charges continue until you cancel through the correct platform. Logging out or factory-resetting your device doesn’t stop them either.

If you’ve been charged after deleting the app, this is almost certainly why. Cancel through the right channel, then contact that billing platform about the charges you didn’t want.

What Happens After You Cancel

Whichever route you use, you keep Shahid VIP access until the end of your current billing period. If your renewal date is June 15 and you cancel on June 2, you can keep watching through June 15. After that, the account drops to the free tier with limited content.

Shahid currently offers two paid plans: VIP at $13.99 per month and VIP BigTime at $16.99 per month. When paid access expires, your account, watch history, and profile settings stay in place. You only lose access to premium content.

If Something Goes Wrong

If a cancellation doesn’t seem to have taken or charges continue afterward, Shahid support can be reached on WhatsApp around the clock, by phone at +966 115 101 940 (24/7), or by email at care@shahid.net, with a stated reply time of 24 hours.

For charges billed through Apple, Google, or Amazon, contact that platform’s support directly. Shahid can’t issue refunds for payments it didn’t process.
