To cancel Sling TV on an iPhone, first check who is billing you: if Apple charges you through the App Store, cancel in your iPhone’s Settings; if Sling charges you directly, cancel at sling.com in a browser. Using the wrong path is the main reason people believe they canceled and keep getting charged.
Check Who Is Billing You
Open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple If Sling TV appears in that list, Apple is handling your billing and you cancel through Settings. If it isn’t listed, you signed up directly with Sling and need to cancel on their site. You can’t cancel a direct Sling subscription through Apple, and you can’t cancel an App Store subscription on Sling’s website. The two billing relationships are separate.
Cancel Through iPhone Settings
If Sling TV appeared in your Subscriptions list:
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Sling TV in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll to find it. If you instead see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already canceled.

Cancel Through sling.com in a Browser
If you signed up on Sling’s website or through a promotion, the iPhone app won’t have a cancel option tied to your billing. Open Safari or any browser on your phone, go to sling.com, and log in. Click through until the cancellation is confirmed, and save the confirmation email as your receipt.
Pause Instead of Canceling
If you’re stepping away for travel or a break rather than quitting for good, Sling lets you pause your subscription for up to three months.4Sling TV. Manage Your Account and Subscription You aren’t charged during the pause, your account settings stay intact, and billing resumes automatically when the pause ends. The option lives in the My Account dashboard at sling.com.
If You Signed Up Through Amazon or Roku
Subscriptions billed through an Amazon device or Roku can’t be canceled through iPhone Settings or Sling’s cancellation flow. Manage an Amazon-billed subscription through Amazon, and a Roku-billed subscription through Roku’s account system. What Happens After You Cancel
Whichever path you use, your access to Sling’s live channels and on-demand library continues until the end of your current billing cycle.3Sling Help Center. Pause or Cancel Your Subscription Streaming stops after that date.
