How to Cancel StreamYard Subscription: Steps, Refunds, and Recordings

To cancel your StreamYard subscription, log in to the account, open My Account, go to Billing, and click Cancel StreamYard subscription. If you signed up through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel through that store instead, since StreamYard’s website can’t stop a charge it isn’t processing. Canceling on StreamYard’s Website

If you subscribed directly through streamyard.com, the full process:

  • Log in to your StreamYard account.
  • Click My Account in the top-right menu.
  • Select Billing or Manage Plan.
  • Click Cancel StreamYard subscription.

StreamYard lets you cancel at any time, with no further charges after the current cycle ends. Still, don’t cut it close to your renewal date. Canceling Through Apple or Google Play

Subscriptions started inside the iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google, not StreamYard. Canceling on StreamYard’s website in that case does nothing. You have to go through the store.

iPhone

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Find StreamYard and tap it.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription.

Android

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Tap your profile icon, then Payments & Subscriptions.
  • Find StreamYard and tap it.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. The billing lives with Google Play, so the charges keep coming until you cancel there.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your paid features stay active through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. Cancel two weeks into a monthly plan and you keep the premium features for the remaining two weeks. Your Recordings Will Be Deleted

This is the part people miss. When your paid term expires, StreamYard permanently deletes your cloud recordings. They won’t be restored later, even if you resubscribe. Pausing Instead

If you’re just taking a break, pausing keeps your recordings and other assets intact while stopping the billing temporarily. You set the length of the pause when you start it, and the plan restarts automatically when the pause ends.6StreamYard Help Center. How Do I Pause My Subscription

While paused, you keep access to most paid features and your stored content, but you can’t go live or create new recordings. If preserving recordings is the whole reason you’re thinking about canceling, pause instead.

Refunds

StreamYard does handle refund requests separately. If you have a reason you think qualifies, such as accidentally buying an annual plan, contact support through the help center. There’s no publicly stated refund window, so each request is decided on its own.

For App Store purchases, refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Pick the purchase, choose a reason, and submit. Confirming It Actually Went Through

Check your email for a confirmation from StreamYard or the app store within a few hours. If nothing arrives, log back in and open your billing page. It should show a cancellation date or a note that the plan won’t renew. If it still lists an active recurring subscription, the cancellation didn’t take, and you need to run through the steps again.

Watch your bank or card statement through the next billing date as well. If a charge posts after you canceled, the confirmation email or a screenshot of your billing page is what you’ll use to dispute it.
