To cancel a Take 5 Car Wash membership, submit your request through the Whistle App, in person at any Take 5 location, or through the online management form on the company’s website.1Take 5 Car Wash. Membership Terms and Conditions Whichever route you choose, your request has to reach Take 5 at least seven days before your next billing date, or you’ll be charged for another month. Take 5 does not refund or credit partial months, so the date you cancel matters more than the method.
The Seven-Day Deadline
Your cancellation has to be submitted at least seven days before your next billing date.2Take 5 Car Wash. Buy an Unlimited Wash Membership That billing date is the monthly anniversary of your signup, not the first of the month. Enroll on March 15 and your billing date is the 15th of every month, which means your cancellation deadline is the 8th.
Miss that window and the next month’s charge goes through. The cancellation then takes effect on the billing date after that one.1Take 5 Car Wash. Membership Terms and Conditions This trips up a lot of people: canceling on the 10th when your billing date is the 15th still gets you charged, because the buffer required action by the 8th.
The good news is that your wash access does not stop the moment you cancel. You keep using the membership through the end of the current paid period.1Take 5 Car Wash. Membership Terms and Conditions
Three Ways to Submit the Cancellation
Whistle App
The Whistle App is Take 5’s own app and the fastest option if your login still works. Open it, sign in with the email and phone number you used at enrollment, and cancel from your membership settings. Your plan and vehicle information are already tied to the account.
In Person at Any Take 5
Drive into any Take 5 location and tell an attendant you want to cancel.1Take 5 Car Wash. Membership Terms and Conditions They’ll scan the RFID tag on your windshield and process the cancellation through their system. Ask for a printed or emailed receipt showing the date, and keep it. If a charge posts after the fact, that receipt is your proof.
Online Form
Take 5 hosts a membership management page at take5carwashes.com/manage-membership for cancellation requests.3Take 5 Car Wash. Manage My Unlimited Membership Have your details ready before you start: the RFID tag number from the sticker on your windshield, your vehicle’s license plate and state, and the email address on your account. If the windshield sticker is damaged or gone, the RFID number is on the receipt from when you first enrolled.
No Refunds for Partial Months
Membership fees are nonrefundable, and Take 5 does not credit partial billing periods.1Take 5 Car Wash. Membership Terms and Conditions If you cancel three days into a 30-day cycle, you still have access for the remaining 27 days, but you won’t see any money back for them. Use those washes before the period runs out.
You Cannot Pause or Transfer the Membership
Take 5’s terms do not include a way to temporarily suspend a membership. Keep paying or cancel outright, those are the choices. Transfers are also prohibited: each plan is tied to one personal vehicle and cannot be resold or moved to another car or person.1Take 5 Car Wash. If You’re Still Charged After Canceling
First, check the dates. A charge that posts within a few days of your request usually means the cancellation landed inside the seven-day window and will take effect the following month, as the terms describe.
If the timing clearly isn’t the issue, use the contact page at take5carwashes.com/contact and send them your cancellation confirmation, the date you submitted it, and the charge amount. If Take 5 doesn’t resolve it, you can dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer as an unauthorized recurring charge.
