To cancel Teleparty Premium, you cancel through whichever platform is actually billing you: Teleparty’s browser extension if you signed up on teleparty.com, Patreon if you joined through a Patreon membership, or the Apple App Store or Google Play Store if you subscribed from inside a mobile app. If you’re not sure which one applies, check your bank or credit card statement — the billing description will name the platform that processed the charge, and that tells you where to go.
What Happens When You Cancel
Cancelling stops the next charge but doesn’t cut off your access right away. Your Premium features — video and voice chat during watch parties, custom reactions, chat profiles, premium badges, and priority support — stay active until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.1Teleparty. Teleparty Premium – The Ultimate Watch Party Experience After that, your account drops back to the free text-chat watch party functionality across Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu, HBO, and Amazon.
Save whatever confirmation screen or email you receive. That timestamp is what proves you cancelled before the next billing date if a charge shows up anyway.

Cancelling Through Apple or Google Play
If you signed up through an in-app purchase on a phone or tablet, Apple or Google is processing the charge, not Teleparty. Deleting the app or cancelling inside Teleparty won’t stop the billing. You have to cancel through the app store.
On an iPhone or Mac
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find Teleparty, tap it, and tap “Cancel Subscription.” On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, go to Account Settings, scroll to Subscriptions, click Manage, and cancel from there.5Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple If there’s no Cancel button and you see a red expiration message instead, the subscription is already cancelled.
On Android
Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, open Subscriptions, select Teleparty, and cancel before the renewal date. Access continues until that date.
Getting a Refund for a Recent Charge
Cancelling stops future charges but doesn’t automatically refund the last one. Where you request the refund depends on who billed you.
For Patreon memberships, request a refund through your Billing History page within 60 days of the payment. Patreon decides refunds at its sole discretion, and processing can take up to 28 days.6Patreon Help Center. Patreon’s Refund Policy Past 60 days, or for per-creation charges, you contact Patreon product support with documentation showing benefits weren’t delivered.
For Apple in-app purchases, Patreon’s refund policy sends you to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple handles those refunds directly.6Patreon Help Center. Patreon’s Refund Policy
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
If you’ve cancelled and the charges don’t stop, you can shut them off at the bank. Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, you can stop a preauthorized recurring debit by notifying your bank or credit union at least three business days before the next scheduled transfer.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers The request can be oral or written, but an oral stop-payment order is only valid for 14 days unless you follow up in writing. Put it in writing.
Banks typically charge roughly $25 to $35 for a stop-payment order, so treat it as a last resort after the subscription platform itself has failed to cancel. Keep your cancellation confirmation; if the company disputes the stop-payment, that documentation shows the charge was unauthorized.
For credit card charges, you have a second option: file a billing dispute under the Fair Credit Billing Act by writing to your card issuer within 60 days of the statement date on which the charge appeared. The issuer must investigate and pause the disputed amount while it does.
