How to Cancel the SpyHunter Free Trial and Get a Refund

To cancel the SpyHunter free trial, log into your EnigmaSoft account at www.enigmasoftware.com, open Order/Licenses, and click Cancel next to your active trial before the seven-day window closes. You can also cancel by emailing support@enigmasoftware.com or calling +1 (888) 360-0646 in the US, or +353 76 680 3523 internationally. Whichever route you take, finish before day seven. Once the trial expires, the charge goes through immediately.¹

What to Have Ready

You’ll need the email address you used to sign up and your account password. Your Order ID helps too, and it’s in the confirmation email EnigmaSoft (or one of its payment partners) sent when you activated the trial. If you can’t find that email, check spam and junk folders. If it’s genuinely gone, EnigmaSoft support can look up the order using the email tied to your account.²

Canceling Through Your EnigmaSoft Account

This is the fastest route. Go to www.enigmasoftware.com and click Login in the top-right corner. Enter the email and password from signup. Forgotten the password? The login page has a reset link.³

Once in, go to Order/Licenses. Your active trial shows up there with a cancel button. If you have more than one order or product, cancel each one separately.³

Expect some friction. You’ll likely see a short questionnaire asking why you’re canceling, then an offer to stay at a discount. Click through every screen until you hit the final confirmation page. Stopping partway leaves the trial active, and the charge will still go through on day seven.

Canceling by Email or Phone

If you can’t get into the portal, or you’d rather skip the online flow, contact support directly. Email support@enigmasoftware.com with your name, order number, and the email address on your account. By phone, call +1 (888) 360-0646 from the US or +353 76 680 3523 internationally.²

You may also be able to cancel through the third-party payment partner that processed your purchase. That partner’s name is in your original confirmation email, and this is a useful backup if EnigmaSoft is slow to respond.

The Seven-Day Deadline

SpyHunter’s trial runs for exactly seven days, and you have to cancel before that window ends. Once the trial expires, billing is processed immediately.¹ There’s no grace period. If you’re reading this on day six, cancel today rather than waiting until the final hours.

Don’t Mistake a Retention Offer for a Cancellation

During the cancellation steps, you’ll almost certainly see a discounted rate offered to keep you subscribed. Accepting it does not cancel anything. It creates a new subscription agreement with its own terms, pricing, and billing cycle.⁴

If you don’t cancel that discounted subscription before its offer period ends, you’ll be billed automatically at the regular rate going forward. Each discount offer can only be used once, and customers with an existing or recent subscription aren’t eligible for them.⁴ To actually cancel, click past the retention screen to the final confirmation.

If You’ve Already Been Charged

If the trial expired and your card was billed before you could cancel, you have 30 days from the charge date to request a full refund. Email support@enigmasoftware.com or call +1 (888) 360-0646 with your name, order number, and the email address from your confirmation.²

Once a refund is processed, you lose access to SpyHunter’s full functionality immediately. If you cancel after the 30-day refund window, no money comes back, but you keep access to the software through the end of your current subscription period.²

Confirming the Cancellation Worked

After you finish, you should get a confirmation email from EnigmaSoft. Save it. Your account dashboard should also show the license as canceled rather than active. Watch your bank or card statements through the next billing cycle. If a charge shows up despite your confirmation, contact support with that confirmation and ask for a reversal. If that doesn’t resolve it, dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Uninstalling the Software

Canceling the subscription stops future charges. It does not remove SpyHunter from your computer. To uninstall on Windows, press the Windows key and R together, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter. Find SpyHunter in the list of installed programs, double-click it, and confirm removal.

The uninstaller may show one more offer before finishing. Choose “Proceed with Uninstall,” then restart your computer when prompted. The software isn’t fully gone until after the reboot.
