How to Cancel TuneIn Subscription on Web, iPhone, Android, and Roku

To cancel a TuneIn Premium subscription, go to whichever service originally billed you: the TuneIn website if you signed up there, or Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal if you signed up through one of them. TuneIn cannot stop a charge that another company is processing on its behalf, so the first task is figuring out where the money is actually leaving your account.

Find Out Where You’re Being Billed

Pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the descriptor on the TuneIn charge. “TuneIn” or “TuneIn Inc” means you subscribed directly on the website. “Apple.com/Bill,” “Google,” “Amazon,” or “Roku” means you signed up through that platform’s app store, and that’s where you need to cancel. A “PayPal” descriptor means you can also revoke the billing authorization inside PayPal itself.

TuneIn Premium runs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, so the charge amount (plus any sales tax) should match one of those.1TuneIn. Premium

Cancel on the TuneIn Website

If you subscribed directly at TuneIn.com, log in through a web browser:2TuneIn. How Do I Cancel or Unsubscribe from TuneIn Premium

  • Click “My Account” in the upper-right corner.
  • Select “Settings” from the dropdown.
  • Open the “Subscription” tab.
  • Click “Cancel Subscription,” then “Complete Cancellation” on the confirmation screen.

You keep Premium access through the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, the account reverts to the free, ad-supported version of TuneIn; it is not deleted.

Cancel Through Apple (iPhone or iPad)

Apple manages every subscription bought through the App Store, so you cancel in device settings rather than inside the TuneIn app:3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription from Apple

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Tap “Subscriptions.”
  • Tap TuneIn Premium, then “Cancel Subscription.”

Do this at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Apple processes subscription charges up to a full day early, so cancelling on the renewal date itself may not stop the payment.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription from Apple If you’re in a Family Sharing group, only the Apple Account that originally subscribed can cancel.

Cancel Through Google Play (Android)

Android subscriptions live in the Play Store, not the TuneIn app:4Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

  • Open the Play Store and tap your profile icon.
  • Tap “Payments and subscriptions,” then “Subscriptions.”
  • Select TuneIn.
  • Tap “Cancel subscription” and confirm.

Access continues through the end of the current period. Google Play sometimes offers a pause option that freezes billing for a set number of weeks, but it isn’t available on annual plans and depends on the developer’s settings. If no pause button appears, cancellation is the only route.

Cancel Through Amazon

Subscriptions started on an Amazon device or through the Amazon Appstore are cancelled through Amazon:5Amazon. Manage Your Amazon Subscriptions

  • Go to “Your Memberships and Subscriptions” in your Amazon account.
  • Select “Manage Subscription” next to TuneIn.
  • Select “Cancel Subscription” under Advanced Controls and confirm.

You can also reach app-based subscriptions through the “Your Apps” section under digital content and devices and turn off auto-renewal there.6Amazon Customer Service. Manage Your Appstore Subscriptions from the Website

Cancel Through Roku

Roku lets you cancel from either the website or the device itself:7Roku Support. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku

  • On the web, go to my.roku.com/subscriptions, find TuneIn under “Active subscriptions,” select “Manage subscription,” then “Turn off auto-renew.”
  • On the device, press the Home button, highlight the TuneIn app, press the Star button on the remote, select “Manage subscription,” then “Turn off auto-renew.”

Cancel Through PayPal

If PayPal is handling the recurring charge, you can revoke the billing authorization directly:8PayPal. What Is an Automatic Payment and How Do I Update or Cancel One

  • On the website, open Settings, click “Payments,” then “Automatic Payments.” Find TuneIn and cancel the agreement.
  • In the app, tap the menu icon, then “Subscriptions” or “Linked Businesses.” Tap TuneIn, then “Stop Paying with PayPal” and confirm with “Unlink.”

This is a useful backstop if the TuneIn site cancellation won’t go through, but cancel in both places so your TuneIn account status matches your billing status.

Cancelling a Free Trial Before It Converts

TuneIn Premium includes a 7-day free trial that converts automatically to a paid subscription unless you cancel in time.1TuneIn. Premium Apple charges up to 24 hours before the trial ends, so cancel at least a day early on an iPhone or iPad.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription from Apple Google Play and the TuneIn website are less aggressive on timing, but cancelling the day the trial expires is still cutting it close. On every platform, cancelling during the trial still gives you access through the remainder of the trial period, so there is no downside to cancelling immediately after signing up if you only want the free week.

What Happens After You Cancel

Premium access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that, the account drops to the free, ad-supported tier. You keep the account itself, your favorites, and your listening history; you lose ad-free listening and Premium-only content such as exclusive live sports broadcasts.

You can resubscribe later at the current price through any platform. The introductory free trial is generally one per account, so resubscribing usually won’t reset it.

Getting a Refund if You Were Charged After the Window

If a renewal went through before you cancelled, the refund request goes to whoever processed the payment.

  • Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the TuneIn charge, and select “Request a Refund.” Apple reviews these case by case, and acting quickly helps.
  • Google Play: open the Play Store, go to your profile, then “Payments and subscriptions,” then “Budget and history.” Tap the TuneIn charge and select “Report a problem.” Google also suggests contacting the app developer directly.9Google Play Help. Learn About Google Play Refund Policies
  • TuneIn website: contact support through help.tunein.com. There is no publicly posted refund guarantee, so reach out promptly.
  • Amazon and Roku: use each platform’s standard customer service channels; both handle refunds for subscriptions bought through their storefronts.

A bank chargeback should be the last resort. It works, but it can get your account flagged or banned on the platform that processed the charge, so work through the platform’s own refund process first.
