How to Cancel Uber One If You Cannot Log In: App Store or Web Form

If you can’t log in, you can still cancel Uber One. How you do it depends on where the subscription was set up: if you signed up through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you can cancel entirely from your phone’s settings without ever touching your Uber account; if you subscribed directly through Uber, start with a password reset, then fall back to Uber’s no-login support form or a stop payment at your bank. Here is how to cancel Uber One if you cannot log in, in the order most likely to work.

Start With a Password Reset

Before anything else, try Uber’s sign-in help page. You enter the email address on the account and Uber sends a link to set a new password.1Uber Help. I Forgot My Password In some regions you can sign in with your phone number and a verification code sent by text.2Uber Help. Resetting Password

Once you are back in, cancellation is quick: tap the Account icon, tap Uber One, choose Manage Membership, then tap End Membership and follow the prompts.3Uber Help. How Do I Cancel My Uber One Membership

If both the email and the phone number tied to the account are gone, the standard reset is a dead end. Uber’s help pages don’t describe a secondary identity-verification path for that situation, so move on to one of the methods below.

Cancel Through the App Store or Google Play

If you originally signed up through Apple or Google rather than directly through Uber, the app store handles your billing. That means you can cancel without logging into Uber at all.

Not sure which it was? Check the merchant name on your bank or card statement. A charge listed as APPLE.COM/BILL means Apple is processing it; GOOGLE*UBER means Google is. If the charge is from Uber directly, this method won’t apply.

On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, find Uber One, and tap Cancel Subscription. Apple requires you to cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends to avoid being charged for renewal.4Apple. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple For paid cycles, cancel well ahead of the renewal date to be safe.

On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, select Subscriptions, choose Uber One, and tap Cancel. Google recommends canceling at least 48 hours before the renewal date. Either way, you keep your benefits through the end of the current billing period.

This is the cleanest route when it’s available, because it ends the charges without any back-and-forth with Uber.

Use Uber’s Web Form Without Logging In

Uber publishes privacy inquiry forms that don’t require an active login. The rider version lets you submit a request while signed out, and the page also links to sign-in help.5Uber Help. In the message, be direct. Say you cannot log in, list what you’ve tried, and ask for the Uber One membership to be canceled. Include the email address you used when you signed up, since that helps the team find the account. After you submit, you’ll get an automated confirmation asking you to verify your identity before a human agent takes it on.

Response times are unpredictable. Some people hear back within hours, others wait days or weeks. Uber publishes no response-time guarantee, and the first reply is often automated. If your next billing date is close, don’t rely on this alone. Pair it with an app store cancellation or a bank stop payment so the charge doesn’t go through while you wait.

Stop the Recurring Charge at Your Bank

Federal law gives you the right to stop a preauthorized recurring electronic transfer by notifying your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled charge. The bank can require written confirmation within 14 days of an oral request, but it must honor a verbal stop in the meantime.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers

Most banks call this a stop payment order. The fee typically runs $25 to $35, though some accounts waive it. The order blocks that specific merchant from pulling money going forward. It does not cancel the Uber One membership itself or settle anything Uber may consider owed. It just cuts off the money.

Before you call the bank, pull your recent statements and note the exact merchant name on each Uber One charge, the amount, and the dates. The bank uses that to identify and block the right recurring transaction.

Think Twice Before a Chargeback

Disputing past charges as a chargeback is a stronger financial tool than a stop payment, but Uber routinely disables accounts after a successful dispute. The company treats a won chargeback as an unpaid balance and freezes the account until the money is repaid.

If you don’t plan to use Uber again, that doesn’t matter. If you want to keep the account for rides or food delivery later, work through every other option first. A password reset, an app store cancellation, or the support form all end the membership without the account freeze that a chargeback triggers.

Can You Get a Refund for Charges Already Taken?

Uber does not issue prorated refunds. When the membership is canceled, benefits run to the end of the current billing period, and you don’t get money back for unused days.8Uber Help. Uber One Cancellation and Refund

There is one exception. On the annual plan, if you cancel within 30 days of signing up and haven’t used any Uber One benefits in that window, you’re eligible for a full refund.8Uber Help. For the $9.99 monthly plan, Uber’s published policy describes no comparable refund window.9Uber Help. What Is Uber One

If you’ve been locked out through more than one billing cycle, you have a stronger case asking support for a courtesy refund of charges that hit while you had no access. Save the dates you couldn’t log in and copies of any support requests you sent. That record also matters if you escalate to a bank dispute later.
