To cancel your Young Living membership, you need to handle up to two separate things: the monthly Loyalty Rewards auto-ship subscription, and the Brand Partner agreement itself. Stopping the subscription is done through Member Services by phone, chat, or email. Ending the Brand Partner agreement requires a written request or a signed termination form sent to the resolutions team. Which steps you take depends on whether you want to stop recurring charges, give up your distributor status, or both.
Get Your Account Details Together First
Log into your Virtual Office and pull two things: your Member ID (also called your Brand Partner number) and your four-digit security PIN. Member Services uses the PIN to verify you on every call or chat.1Young Living. How to Enrol Online If you’ve forgotten it, reset it through your profile before you call.
While you’re logged in, check your Loyalty Rewards points. Canceling the subscription forfeits any unused points immediately, and if you ever re-enroll your earning rate drops back to the 10 percent tier.2Young Living Essential Oils. Loyalty Rewards FAQ If you have a balance worth redeeming, place a final order for it first.
Also check whether any recent orders are still within the return window. The clock runs from the shipment date, so waiting until after cancellation may cost you the chance.
Cancel the Loyalty Rewards Subscription
Loyalty Rewards (formerly Essential Rewards) is the monthly auto-ship program. Young Living’s policy is that cancellations must go through a Member Services agent by phone, live chat, or email, not through the self-service portal.3Young Living Essential Oils. Loyalty Rewards FAQ
Call Member Services at 1-800-371-3515. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Mountain Time, with chat-only support on Sundays. Have your Member ID and PIN in front of you. Be direct: you want the subscription canceled, not paused, skipped, or swapped. Agents are trained to offer alternatives, so use the word “cancel” and stay with it. Ask for a confirmation number or email before you end the call.
Canceling the subscription stops the monthly auto-ship and forfeits your points, but it does not close your Young Living account. You can still log in and place one-time orders. If your only goal is stopping the recurring charges, this one step is enough.
Terminate the Brand Partner Agreement
If you want to fully leave, giving up wholesale pricing, commission eligibility, and your position in the organization, you need to terminate your Brand Partner agreement. That’s a separate step from canceling Loyalty Rewards, and it requires written notice.
Use the Termination Request Form
Young Living has a dedicated form that captures what the resolutions team needs. It asks for your full name, Brand Partner number, PIN, mailing address, and phone number. You also have to choose one of two outcomes: keep the account open as a basic Customer with retail pricing, or fully deactivate it.4Young Living. Brand Partner Termination Request Form
The form also has several acknowledgments you initial: that you don’t have duplicate accounts, that you release your rights to your team and future commissions, and that your downline will roll up to the next Brand Partner above you. Sign, date, and send the completed form to resolutions@youngliving.com or fax it to 1-801-812-8941.4Young Living. Brand Partner Termination Request Form
Or Call and Terminate Verbally
You can also terminate by calling 1-800-371-3515 or using live chat. The representative verifies you with your Member ID and PIN and closes things out on the call. Phone or chat works well if you want a reference number on the spot. If you prefer a paper trail without the form, email resolutions@youngliving.com with your full name, Member ID, address, and a clear statement that you want your Brand Partner agreement terminated.
Whichever route you take, be explicit about whether you want full deactivation or a downgrade to Customer status. A Customer account keeps you eligible to buy at retail with no distributor obligations. Full deactivation ends the relationship completely.
Return Unopened Products
If you have unopened, resalable products, you may be able to return them within a set window from the original shipment date. Refunds cover the purchase price and applicable tax, but not shipping. Returns also trigger commission and bonus adjustments for you and anyone in your upline who was paid on those sales.5Young Living. U.S. Policies and Procedures
Contact Member Services before shipping anything back. Returns are reviewed case by case, and unauthorized returns can be refused. Have your order numbers ready and ask about the deadline for each order, since the clock runs from each shipment date separately.
What Happens After You Submit the Request
Expect a confirmation email to the address on file. If nothing arrives within a week, follow up with Member Services using the reference number you were given. Don’t treat silence as confirmation.
If you do nothing at all, the account will eventually close on its own. Under Young Living’s 2025 policies, a Brand Partner who earns no sales commission for 12 consecutive months is automatically converted to a Customer account, and the downline rolls up to the next active Brand Partner. A Brand Partner who also places no orders during that period has the agreement fully terminated and the account removed from the active organization.6Young Living. U.S. Policies and Procedures Waiting out the year works, but it leaves your payment information sitting on file. Formal termination is faster.
Tax reporting continues even after you close the account. If you earned $600 or more in commissions in any calendar year, Young Living reports those earnings to the IRS and sends you a 1099. The company also reports individuals who purchased $5,000 or more in products for resale.7Young Living. 1099 Frequently Asked Questions If you need a copy of a past 1099 later, you can request one from the Customer Care Department for a $10 fee per form.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
Sometimes a charge still hits the card after cancellation. Call Member Services again with your confirmation number or reference from the original request. Write down dates, agent names, and what each one told you.
If Young Living doesn’t resolve it, dispute the charge with your credit card company or bank. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you generally have 60 days from the statement date to file a dispute for a billing error. Your issuer will usually want proof that you tried to resolve it with the merchant first, which is why the notes from your calls matter. As a simple precaution, remove your stored payment method from the Virtual Office after cancellation.
The Three-Day Cooling-Off Rule for New Members
If you enrolled as a Brand Partner within the last three business days at an in-person event, such as a home party or conference, the FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule may let you cancel with a full refund. The rule applies to door-to-door or in-person sales over $25 and requires the seller to inform buyers of their cancellation rights at the time of sale.8Federal Trade Commission. Cooling-off Period for Sales Made at Home or Other Locations Online enrollments are not covered. If you signed up face-to-face and have changed your mind, act inside that three-day window.
If You Might Come Back Later
Re-enrollment rules depend on how the account ended. If you voluntarily terminate and want back in within six months, you have to re-enroll under your original Enroller and Sponsor. After six months, you can pick a new Sponsor. If Young Living terminated your account rather than you leaving on your own, the wait is 12 months, and you have to send a written request to conduct@youngliving.com explaining why you should be allowed back; approval is at the company’s discretion. If the account simply went inactive from 12 months of no orders and no commissions, you can re-enroll right away under any Enroller and Sponsor, but you start over with no rank and no downline.6Young Living. U.S. Policies and Procedures If your reason for leaving is really a bad experience with one sponsor, voluntary termination followed by a six-month wait may serve you better than full deactivation.
