How to Cancel Your BeautyPlus Subscription and Get a Refund

To cancel a BeautyPlus subscription, go to the account settings of whichever platform you signed up through — the App Store on an iPhone or iPad, Google Play on an Android device, or BeautyPlus directly if you bought from their website. The step people miss: deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. The billing agreement lives in your Apple or Google account, and it keeps running until you turn it off there.

Deleting the App Doesn’t Stop the Charges

This is the mistake that drives most unexpected BeautyPlus charges. You uninstall the app, assume you’re done, and then see a renewal hit your card weeks later. Both Apple and Google let you remove an app from your phone without touching the payment agreement behind it. Until you cancel through your account settings, the charges continue on schedule.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

If you subscribed through the App Store, Apple controls the billing. BeautyPlus can’t cancel it for you.

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Select BeautyPlus from the list.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll to find it. If you see an expiration message in red text instead, the subscription is already canceled.

The steps are the same on iPad.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

From a Web Browser

If you no longer have the device, go to account.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and open the Subscriptions section. This works from any computer or phone.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

If You Can’t Find the Subscription

People who’ve used more than one Apple Account over the years sometimes can’t locate the charge because it’s tied to a different email. Try signing in with other addresses you may have used. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can use a trusted device that’s already signed in, ask an account recovery contact, or visit an Apple Store to reset your credentials.2Apple Support. Cancel on Android

Android subscriptions run through Google Play. Google holds the billing agreement, so BeautyPlus support can’t cancel it on your behalf. The current path goes through your device Settings, not the Play Store app:

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Google, then your name, then Manage your Google Account.
  • Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions.
  • Select BeautyPlus.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Google Play also offers a pause option for some subscriptions, letting the plan freeze at the end of the current billing period for anywhere from one week to three months. Not every subscription supports it, so the option may not appear for BeautyPlus.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

From a computer, go to play.google.com, sign in with the same Google account you used to subscribe, and manage the subscription from there.

If You Subscribed Directly Through BeautyPlus

Cancel Before a Free Trial Converts

BeautyPlus often promotes free trials that automatically become paid subscriptions. Timing matters: you have to cancel before the trial period ends to avoid the charge. With both Apple and Google, you can cancel right after starting a trial and still keep access for the full trial window. The subscription simply won’t renew.

Check your confirmation email or the subscription details in your account settings for the exact conversion date, and set a reminder a day or two ahead if you’re not sure you want to continue.

What You Keep After Canceling

Canceling doesn’t cut off access immediately. You keep BeautyPlus premium features through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. Cancel two weeks into a monthly plan and you still have those two weeks. After that, your account drops to the free tier, which has limited AI credits and watermarked exports compared with the paid MAX plan.6BeautyPlus. Getting a Refund for a Charge Already Made

Canceling stops future charges. It does not refund past ones. Refund requests go through whichever platform processed the payment.

Apple

Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the BeautyPlus charge, and select “Request a refund.” Apple reviews each request individually. There’s no guarantee, but charges from a trial you thought you canceled, or a subscription you didn’t intend to buy, are reasonable grounds.7Apple Support. Google Play

Google’s policies depend on what you bought, when you paid, and where you are. For app subscriptions, Google often directs you to the developer first, since the apps are built by third parties who set their own refund terms. Start at play.google.com/store/account and select the transaction you want to dispute. If the developer doesn’t resolve it, Google may step in.8Google Play Help. Disputing the Charge With Your Bank

If you’ve been charged after canceling and the app store won’t refund you, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you a fallback for credit card charges. Send a written dispute letter to your card issuer at the address listed for billing inquiries, not the payment address. The letter has to reach the creditor within 60 days of the billing statement date, and certified mail gives you proof of delivery. The FCBA covers credit cards and revolving charge accounts. It does not apply to debit card transactions.

Your Rights When Cancellation Is Made Hard

The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any business selling through an online auto-renewing subscription to clearly disclose material terms before taking your payment information, get your express informed consent before charging, and provide a simple way to stop recurring charges.9Office of the Law Revision Counsel. United States Code Title 15 – 8403 Negative Option Marketing on the Internet

The FTC, which enforces the law, has said cancellation should be at least as easy as signing up. Processes that bury the cancel button, force phone calls when you signed up online, or push you through multiple screens are the kind of practices the agency targets.10Federal Trade Commission.
