How to Cancel Your Crumb Pet Subscription and Get a Refund

To cancel your Crumb Pet subscription, log in to the Crumb Dashboard on the website, open My Services, click Manage next to your Premium plan, and click Cancel. The whole thing takes about two minutes. There are no contracts and no penalty fees for cancelling.1Crumb. How to Change Your Subscription One detail catches people out: cancellation only works through the website dashboard, not the Crumb mobile app.

Cancelling Through the Dashboard

Crumb does not accept cancellations through the app or by phone. The web dashboard is the only supported route.1Crumb. How to Change Your Subscription

  • Log in at the Crumb login page. The Magic Link option emails you a one-time login link, so you’ll need access to your registered inbox.
  • Click the icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard and select My Services.
  • Find Crumb Premium in the list and click Manage. Your next renewal date is on this screen. Note it.
  • Click Cancel next to the renewal date.
  • Pick a reason from the checkbox list Crumb shows you.
  • Click the final confirmation button.

Crumb may email a verification code during the process as an added security step.2Crumb. How to Disable Auto-Renewal Enter it if prompted. Once you confirm, the cancellation is immediate and the subscription won’t renew.

When to Cancel to Avoid the Next Charge

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel first.3Crumb. Terms and Conditions Check the renewal date on the Manage screen before you start, and cancel a few days ahead of it so a payment doesn’t slip through.

Crumb does not issue refunds for partial months of service.3Crumb. Terms and Conditions If you cancel five days into a monthly cycle, you keep premium access through the end of that cycle, but you don’t get money back for the unused portion.

Getting a Refund Within the Grace Period

New subscribers have a short window for a full refund. Crumb’s terms give you 14 days on a monthly plan and 30 days on an annual plan, measured from your first subscription date.3Crumb. Terms and Conditions Cancel inside that window and you’re eligible for a refund. Cancel after it and all charges are final.

The grace period only covers your first subscription. If you’ve been paying for months and decide to leave mid-cycle, the window has closed and the no-partial-refund rule takes over.

What Happens to Your Tag After You Cancel

Cancelling doesn’t disable your pet tag. Premium features (vet alerts, location SMS updates, community alerts, SnoutID) stay active through the end of your paid billing cycle.1Crumb. How to Change Your Subscription After that, your account moves to the free plan.

On the free plan, the waterproof smart tag keeps working, your online pet profile stays scannable with your name and contact information, you can still mark your pet as missing in-app, and you keep access to the Crumb community.4Crumb. Pick the Best Plan For You You lose 24/7 vet access, instant location alerts, phone number privacy, and unlimited tag replacements. Resubscribing later is always an option.

Confirming the Cancellation and Handling a Bad Charge

After you confirm, go back into the dashboard and check that your subscription no longer shows as active and no upcoming renewal date is listed. If it still looks active, run through the steps again or contact Crumb support through their help center. Save the confirmation screen or email. It’s the document you’ll need if something goes wrong later.

Watch your card statement through the next billing cycle. If a charge lands after you’ve confirmed cancellation, contact Crumb support first, because it may be a billing system error they’ll reverse without a fight. If that doesn’t resolve it, file a chargeback with your card issuer. Provide the date you cancelled, the confirmation you saved, and the date of the unauthorized charge. Card networks have specific dispute categories for recurring charges that continue after cancellation, and clear documentation usually carries the day.
