How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Subscription: Steps, Refunds, and Support

To cancel a Dreamstime subscription, log in on the Dreamstime website, open My Account in the upper right, click Payment Management in the left sidebar, and click Cancel renewal next to the plan you want to stop. Confirm when prompted. The plan’s status flips to “Renewal is off,” and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. Do this at least 48 hours before your renewal date so the next charge doesn’t slip through first.1Dreamstime. How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Plan

The Steps on the Dreamstime Website

Sign in, click My Account, then open the Payment Management page from the left side of your dashboard. Every plan attached to your account shows up here, both active and inactive. Find the active plan, click Cancel renewal, and confirm.1Dreamstime. How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Plan

Each plan has to be canceled on its own. Turning off auto-renewal for one subscription does not touch the others. If you have a monthly image subscription running alongside a credit pack, cancel each from the same Payment Management page.1Dreamstime. How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Plan

Dreamstime recommends canceling at least 48 hours before the renewal date. Wait until the last day and the system may process the next charge before your cancellation goes through.1Dreamstime. How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Plan

Canceling From a Phone

You can’t cancel through the Dreamstime app. The iOS and Android apps don’t support subscription management. Open a mobile browser instead, go to the Dreamstime website, log in, and use the same My Account and Payment Management path.1Dreamstime. How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Plan

Annual Subscriptions Lock In 12 Payments

Annual plans work differently from monthly ones. When you sign up, you commit to 12 monthly payments. You can turn off auto-renewal any time during those 12 months, but the cancellation only takes effect after the final payment. Until then, Dreamstime keeps billing you monthly at the agreed rate.2Dreamstime. FAQ: Can I Cancel Automatic Payments on an Annual Subscription?

If you don’t cancel before the 12-month period closes, the annual plan renews automatically for another 12 months at the same rate. That’s why the 48-hour window matters more on an annual plan than on a monthly one. Miss it and you’ve committed to another full year, not another month.2Dreamstime. What You Keep and What You Lose

Once auto-renewal is off, your plan becomes time-limited. You keep access to your remaining downloads through the end of the period you already paid for, whether that’s one month, three, six, or a full year. When the period ends, any unused downloads are gone.3Dreamstime. FAQ: If I Cancel My Plan, What Happens to My Unused Downloads?

Credits from a credit package expire one year from the purchase date, regardless of subscription status. If credits expire unused, Dreamstime says you can contact support to ask for reinstatement. If you have unused credits sitting in your account, it may be worth spending them before you cancel.4Dreamstime. FAQ: Do Credits Ever Expire?

Standard royalty-free licenses on images you already downloaded are perpetual. You can keep using those images in the projects where you placed them after your subscription ends.5Dreamstime. Terms and Conditions

Unlimited Plan downloads are the exception, and this one catches people. Each use of a media file downloaded under an Unlimited Plan must begin while the subscription is still active. When the subscription ends, your license to use that media in any new context ends with it, unless you re-license the image through a separate purchase.5Dreamstime. Terms and Conditions

Images pulled from Dreamstime’s free section carry a more limited license (RF-LL). It stays valid for six months after your subscription ends. After that, you’d need to re-license to keep using the image.5Dreamstime. Terms and Conditions

Refunds

Dreamstime offers refunds within 30 days of purchase, but only if the plan or package is completely unused. Downloading even one image makes the plan partially used and disqualifies it from a refund.6Dreamstime. FAQ: I Changed My Mind, Can I Get a Refund?

For an individual image download, the refund window is seven days from the download.6Dreamstime. FAQ: I Changed My Mind, Can I Get a Refund?

If a charge already went through because you missed the cancellation window, Dreamstime directs you to contact support and request a refund. The 48-hour buffer avoids that scenario entirely.1Dreamstime. How to Cancel Your Dreamstime Plan
